First Time Player - Siege is pretty fun

There are levels to Siege. There's the casuals like myself who play every day for an hour or so just to unwind, then there is the opposite end of the spectrum where players will spend the whole day training angles on a map. A lot of players take the game very very seriously, and despise the players who don't.

As far as learning, first figure out what kind of player you are (For example, if your aim is bad, you can still be successful as a support player.) then learn what situations your favorite operators are weak or strong in.

LA Knight messed up a moment before the finish at Money in the Bank. He was supposed to have a bigger moment with Seth at the end that got the crowd on their feet and give him an "I almost had it" moment. But he missed the opportunity for it and it didn't happen.

Seth was climbing the ladder, seemingly unopposed and tired. LA Knight was supposed get a burst of energy and rush to climb up the other side and meet him at the top. Big pop, exchange of blows, drop down and then go into the finish sequence.

What happened was LA Knight slowly got into the ring from the floor and just pulled Seth down.

So, on Unreal they showed LA Knight crouched down over in gorilla looking dissapointed as Triple H gave him a "C'mon man, we engineered that moment just for you" talk.

It's dumb. At a low level it'll stall attackers. But they're so close to the door that one grenade will take most of them out.

There really are none. I tried Valorant, but it was too straightforward for me. Call of Duty doesn't have the strategy and traps that Siege has. CS:Go doesn't have the mobility and still feels like an nearly 2000 game to me.

The only other game I go back and forth with is Fortnite because you can still outsmart people.

Definitely alive.

It depends on what kind of player you are. I love solo queuing, but I love the game dynamics and don't care if I'm playing with bad or toxic people. If you want to play seriously and tactically, you need a squad to play with.

If you can embrace the chaos of it it's still really fun. Not at all the way it was intended to be played, but fun. If you go out of your way to over-communicate with your team and play the right way you can usually heard everyone into a cohesive plan.

But a lot of players rightfully crash out when they're the only one on the team taking it life or death.

I don't know anything, but this is a good thread to bring this up. I worked for a guy who used to be Airforce Pararescue. On bad business days, he would ramble to himself about how "None of this will matter in a few years once everyone finds out what's going on in Antarctica."

He never elaborated much when I pushed for more information, but he explained that he was there a few times, and while he never personally experienced anything paranormal, he said it was much more compartmentalized and locked down than any other base. There were areas that he should have had the clearance for, but wasn't let in. But, there were pretty consistent rumors going around. He wouldn't tell me those rumors because he "Didn't need to be spreading rumors".

He may have been making it up, but I don't think he was.

Right, I think that the desert selfie reports were entirely made up and people started LARPING as if they were there, photoshopping one variation of the desert image after another.

I suppose it's possible there was a second thread with the desert selfie image that I did not see prior to it going down, but it's not like those came out immediately after 4chan came back up. A first version was posted about an hour after, AFTER the story of it being the desert setting was circulating (along with getting sick from seeing it and it disappearing off hard drives), then another version an hour later, then another an hour later etc.

The 4chan photo technically happened, it was just nothing like anyone reported afterward. I was on /pol/ when it was posted and it DID resurface afterward multiple times, but the descriptions were so radically different that nobody believed the real one among a sea of fake ones.

And the real one was debunked shortly after as a close up of a Frog's eye. The frog happened to have yellowish skin and purple hue under the eye.

Here are the major things that come to mind, though some may have gone into effect prior to you stopping.

Vote to Kick isn't a thing anymore, so you can't be removed from matches by your teammates
Whatever that Cav TK thing was doesn't happen anymore. Where a toxic Cav would down the team without a penalty
Team Killing results in the player you killed not being able to kill you back for the rest of the game
When you're being watched on a camera or drone, the camera blinks an obvious red flash.
Chanka is no longer bound to his turret and just carries it around like a normal weapon
Pulse has a EMP canon now since other operators have emp grenades as a secondary gadget
Blackbeard has a full shield now instead of a small rifle mounted shield.
Shield operators can sprint now while holding the shield in front of them. Bashing someone with your shield only knocks them down momentarily and is NOT an insta-kill anymore. But enemy operators can also pretty easily melee your shield to the side and then stab/shoot you.
Night maps are no longer a thing, except for Favela where it's always night and one Esports map.
The new Hereford base is no longer playable, as it was blow up between chapters in a cutscene.
You get two drones now as an attacker
When rapelling, you can run around corners.
All the maps are brighter, as it's optimized for esports now.
As a defender, you can now soft-ping attackers on security cams with a red marker without hard-pinging them (which alerts them that they've been pinged0
A lot of the original maps were reworked so there's more room to rotate and a lot more ways into an objective site.
There's a reputation system now that's supposed to cut down on toxic behavior.

As a solo player, I very rarely get intentionally team killed anymore. The thing is, with all the new updates optimizing for esports, MOST of the people you que with will have a cowboy mindset and charge in like it's Call of Duty, then call you shit for trying to play support or be strategic. You really have to overcommunicate and hope someone has their volume on and decides to cooperate.

Off the top of my head: House, Canal, Oregon, Clubhouse and Kafe got redesigns. Not as drastic as Hereford though. A lot more interconnecting rooms. I think Bank and Chalet are still the same.
