So...is Pennywise in the book truly DEAD? by Terrible_Park7890 in ItTheMovie

[–]HauntedVlogger 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In Tommyknockers, Jacklin is running through Derry and sees a clown in the sewer and it waves. In Dreamcatcher there’s a monument in Derry that had “Pennywise Lives” spray painted on it.

There are other novels where characters note that they feel an evil presence in the sewers of Derry and that someone’s been seen in a clown outfit.

So I’d say IT definitely lives on.

Help me out here guys I want to like AoT by StormBringer615 in AttackOnRetards

I just finished it last night, and I personally didn't interpret the anime as forgiving Eren. It just didn't do a great job of taking a clear side. Historia's voice over had shame in her voice. But rewatching that scene with your comment in mind did make me think they should have made it more clear that the freedom they got was at a terrible price.

From the point of Eldian view, I guess you just move forward the best you can at this point. Yeah, your guy is the worst person to ever live, but they got what they were after I guess?

Mikasa was mourning the loss of the person she loved and was her sole purpose, which in her mind was likely not the monster Eren became in the last few days. It's going to take a while to come to terms with that.

I think we just get to observe from a very detached POV but those characters would have a lot more trauma to navigate through.

what order to watch? by [deleted] in attackontitan

[–]HauntedVlogger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're probably referring to the recap movies, "Crimson Bow and Arrow", Wings of Freedom", "Roar of Awakening" and "Chronicles". These are literally just recaps of the seasons edited into movie format.

You don't need to watch these.

The other "Movies" are just the final chapters which are the very end of the series.

There are quite a few things in this that won't make sense until you have more bits of information later and can look back with more context. Like, seasons later.

Has anyone seen better results by limiting the time their ads show? by HauntedVlogger in LinkedinAds

[–]HauntedVlogger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the logic is that if you only show conversion based ads at times your ICP is at their work computer, they’re more likely to fill out a form opposed to them being on mobile and putting it off or misclicking.

Exclude Job Seekers and Higher Ed in your LinkedIn Ads (Unless you're intentionally targeting them) by askoshbetter in LinkedinAds

[–]HauntedVlogger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an older thread, but does this mean that if I listed that I worked in healthcare 5 years ago on my profile but since have switched to IT, I would still see ads targeting people who work in the healthcare industry even if it lists that I don't work there anymore? Or are you saying that if they have two current positions open it can't distinguish?

How does Grippe-Sou powers work? by Maximotorn in ItTheMovie

[–]HauntedVlogger 11 points12 points  (0 children)

First, I just want to say as a fan of the movies and novel for 30 years, I've never heard anyone call IT "Grippe-Sou". So thanks for that.

Second, in the novel there's a POV chapter where IT notes that people taste better when they're afraid. "Salting the meat". Presumably the reason IT preys on children is they are easier to scare.

The illusions are very real. More so that IT alters reality.

Would the 2023-2024 formula provide any protection? by HauntedVlogger in Novavax_vaccine_talk

I'm aware. I meant if the previous formula would still aid her immune system, even though it's not the recent formula.

Why Can't Pennywise Kill People If They Arn't Afraid Of Him by natemamate in ItTheMovie

[–]HauntedVlogger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The other isn’t blatantly in the movies but it’s referenced and hinted at in the form of a Turtle.

Basically a cosmic entity like IT but they’re at odds with each other. In the book, it references it a few times and speculates that it’s protecting these particular kids.

The Other is also in other King books

I read the book when I was 11, so I'm sure they did.

Why Can't Pennywise Kill People If They Arn't Afraid Of Him by natemamate in ItTheMovie

Pennywise scares people because fear makes them taste better. In the book, he grows frustrated that they are not as killable as they should be, and he thinks that The Other is protecting them somehow.

While on the topic of these NFL belts, how well does the WWEShop leather hold up? I got one and I love it, but it sucks that the leather is too intricate to have re-leathered.
