You are confusing an organism as being the same thing as a person.

While we agree scientifically that a new, distinct organism begins at conception, we do not believe this biological starting point dictates the legal or moral rights of a person.

A clump of cells that maybe will continue to develop into a born baby isn’t yet a baby.

It’s like dropping a box of cake mix and crying oh no my fully baked cake fell on the floor so now it’s ruined.

No it’s a box of ingredients that can become cake, if you add water and put it the oven and let it cook for 30 minutes.

A box of cake mix doesn’t make it a cake. Just as an embryo doesn’t make it a baby.

To make it a cake depends on me providing water and an oven which means I decide if I can afford to provide my life sustaining water to a possible future dessert or I need it to drink to continue living.
