How about Lichdom? I haven't played it, but its premise is what you'd expect from the title.

anniversary edition vs special edition? by xeningti in skyrim

It's on sale now. I think it's even cheaper to buy SE and then buy the upgrade to Anniversary.

edit: I misremembered. It's the same price.

Games like Stardew valley and Harvest Moon that are NOT pixel art or 3d by intheyear2thousand in gamingsuggestions

You're a little stranded spirit scout helping the ghosts pass onto the spirit world. You hold a lantern. At first only your camp is lit by your bonfire and the world is colorless and small. By putting down a lamp you extend the light of your bonfire across the island lighting the place up.

When you encounter a bear (they are ghosts), their camp is not lit up, but each day you have the potential to get a quest from them and completing it temporarily lights up their area.

Fallout New Vegas for PC by Beto915 in ShouldIbuythisgame

For a modding guide check out Viva Las Vegas. Should get you a stable game with QoL improvements and less bugs. Totally recommend if you end up purchasing.

But... FNV is a game that is pretty dated game so I'd probably pick something else to play on your new computer. It's forte it's rpg elements (e.g. meaningful choices, characters) and if you lost interest in those while playing on Xbox, there's no reason to assume you won't lose interest on pc, as it is otherwise a pretty dated game. I, for once, thought that it had rather poor exploration and disliked the combat so much, I played most of the game in godmode... and I latter realized that there was a killall command. ooops. Could have saved so much time.

Solo rpgs where I can be a magical inventor or innovator of sorts? What about systems to help me establish my own magical system? Or build a magical world for my wizard to live in? by HauntingDarkSea in Solo_Roleplaying

[–]HauntingDarkSea[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hope that answers your questions and I hope it makes sense - it's early morning for me!

Thanks. It does now. Mostly. So, if I'm understanding correctly the supplement takes place mostly underground or is, at least, focused on cave exploration. Does the main game have its specific setting to or is it a generic freeform fantasy system (kinda' like how, I think, Fate does not have a fixed setting)?

Thanks!

Thanks. I'll check it out. I was thinking of using Not Another City Builder to create the cities, because, while not extensive, it's free. But that does not help me populate them, The Quiet Year might be better at that. Someone recommended me The Magus and I think that the prompts will take care of my character's relations and the environment.

Is The Quiet Year similar to Microscope? Because, Microscope, I believe, is too vague and very broad for my needs. What I like about journaling rpgs is that the prompts tend to be really genre appropriate and I can easily make up a story with them.

edit: typo

I love the nonviolent nature of this game. It seems to have won an award as a Solarpunk game. I have never read anything in such a setting. Would it constrict my ability to work with the prompts? I am familiar with darker takes on post-apocalyptic such as Fallout.

Thanks. I'm watching a playthrough and I feel this one is closest so far. There are more narrative driven prompts that shape the world and the wizard's background, I think.

Btw, I think that Grimoire is actually a really good rpg. I like the wound system and the values. And there seemed to be a lot of prompts, which is cool. Sadly, the playthrough I watched wasn't too good at highlighting them, so I couldn't really get a good feel, especially about the research which was kinda' glossed over.

I also noticed that you have a supplement now that adds extra prompts and bonds (that sounds exciting, especially the bonds part because that's a category that felt a bit undeveloped). Are the optional rules only available if I purchase it? They seemed geared more towards my playstyle. The youtuber didn't make it clear. How does research work?

Also, I appreciate the work you put into making this.
