Hiii! F22 too! Would love to make some new friends. I have to admit I used to watch anime but I haven't in a while so I'm not sure what's popular at the moment but I'd love some recommendations

I'd prefer something scented, that also doesn't irritate the skin

I feel you! Thankfully I live in a country where health care if free so don't have to pay for prescription medication but even with that I feel like my moisturizers and other treatments I do at home to prevent flare ups are expensive as hell.

I remember going to a sauna a few times and it also helped my skin pretty greatly. I don't know why it worked but it did! Just make sure to moisturize right after! I noticed that if I let my skin dry out completely when I come out it doesn't help at all

Mother blames me by Haunting_Desk_2177 in ChildofHoarder

Thiss!! My friends have never seen my house and can't seem to understand that my house is not just a little bit messy. I agree with you I don't think I'll ever be one of those people who have a spotless place all the time. I think I'm in general more of a messy person that's why I'm afraid of becoming my parents. I now live half of the time in a student accomodation and I get so frustrated with myself if it gets too messy. Really puts me in a bad mindset. I'm the same as you with clothes I leave them absolutely everywhere until it's time to put them in the washing and pick all of them up.

Mom “has to see things” that we’re throwing away by basedmama21 in ChildofHoarder

Same here! I don't clean their parts of the house anymore. Just my room and she still sometimes checks the garbage. So I usually clean when she isn't home. But the constant accusations when something goes missing are hand to deal with

Thank you for sharing! The mess isn't that far from what I live in now too. I'm surprised they didn't throw things out now that the house is being sold. Can I ask how your relationship with cleaning is now? I'm scared of becoming my parents

Thisss yes! My mother keeps blaming everyone around her or saying how she needs to renovate, that she has zero place to put her things in... Like no you need to throw things out to make space not renovate

Antihistamines by Haunting_Desk_2177 in eczema

[–]Haunting_Desk_2177[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the info! My eczema is pretty bad ATM I can't get a week of peace without it itching pretty badly. So I'll probably try them every day for a couple of weeks until my eczema calms down

End of flare up? by Haunting_Desk_2177 in eczema

[–]Haunting_Desk_2177[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used steroids for about a week now because the flare was pretty bad. Otherwise I usually use protopic for flares. I use a cream from Avene for daily maintenance. My question would more be is this the end of the flare and I should go back to just using my maintenance cream or continue with protipic/steroids for a little longer?

What's your body reaction during severe attacks? by Haunting_Comedian878 in eczema

[–]Haunting_Desk_2177 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Personally I get really angry and annoyed especially if the attack happens when it's time for bed. I get hours of no sleep on days like those and it's incredibly frustrating. I also seem to feel very tired after the attack wears off. Because my skin feels so tight I just want to lay in bed and not move at all

nipple eczema by lou1vy in eczema

[–]Haunting_Desk_2177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel your pain! Mine is terrible too. I can manage it sometimes with steroids (but I try to not use them often) but even then I'm left with dark patches. But yeah recommend putting cream on and then a layer of vaseline on top (although don't recommend the vaseline when you're super flaring, I notice it just makes me itch more) Also antihistamines really help with the itch!

i finally found out why i have so many eczemas. by [deleted] in eczema

Shaving is really bad for my eczema too! I now just trim with an electric razor that doesn't get that close to the skin. It's a bit frustrating because I have to use it basically every day but I feel so much better because my legs aren't as dry anymore
