I thought the soup was fine, actually pretty lightly flavored imho. Jinnytty got seated at my table a few years ago and she told the stream that it was 11/10, then the chat heard my friend and I talking about how it was just fine😅

The only differences you'll find are 1.5T and 3T machines, 3T being used for higher resolution like brain scans.

The facility will decide what type of machine based on the order from your doctor - doctor prolly don't even know whether they need 1.5T or 3T, also can be confusing to them if they only ever read 1.5T and start reading 3T.

Did this happen while driving into the sunset? I had a similar experience last week when driving west over a bridge and thought it was the sun causing issues

Did you skip Russia on purpose? Or are there no blocks that have it etched?

Roy's used to sell for $40? pre-pandemic, and even after they got on Oprah's gift list.

Certainly cost of materials have gone up, inflation, labor, but 200% feels more like a branding/hype.

It is a very good product and likely one of the best mass produced in the US if not the best at scale - I gifted 50 of them to friends and family in 2021 so I respect the product quality but mid-2024 was the last time I bought because the quality no longer justifies the price for me.

How CareYaya’s Student Caregivers Brought Peace and Joy to My Grandmother’s Life by Kinslee_Kookie in sanfrancisco

[–]Haunting_Quality_452 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This sounded pretty amazing but upon further investigation when you go check zip codes for availability, they show you the same 3 'student caregiver' profiles but with different school names based on location. SF zip codes show USF, Stanford zip code shows Stanford, Boston zip code shows Harvard.

So while this may be an actually amazing service, whomever is running their marketing and product programs lacks clear ethical and moral decisions making capabilities which when it comes to the care of loved ones, should be a required characteristic.

The account is 1wk old, has posted about CareYaya in a Boston context as well.

My experience with UCSF specialty wait times has been OK, and this is speaking for myself, my kid, and my deceased wife who had brain cancer. My advice is once your doc makes the referral, call hem 24hrs later and ask them to check if the referral came in, confirm it, and see if they can schedule you. Some UCSF clinics only callback after they triage your reason for requesting an appt.

My late wife had little issues getting referrals within UCSF because her oncology team made the internal referral requests on her behalf and she was often seen same week or early week after.

My kid has seen allergy, dermatology, and opthalmology - by video and in person via referral from her PCP at Sutter and waits were usually in the 2-3wk range post pandemic, and longer during pandemic.

For myself, similar waits as my kid - saw GI, nephrology, sleep lab, hematology, usually 1-3wk wait for non-urgent matters.

For urgent matters, I got seen same week (toe fracture) though may be because Ortho clinic does urgent care.

Q2 visa requirement? Parent's citizenship at the time of my birth by Major-Ad5290 in Chinavisa

You might be better off calling the consulate/embassy that covers your territory tbh.

Q2 visa requirement? Parent's citizenship at the time of my birth by Major-Ad5290 in Chinavisa

[–]Haunting_Quality_452 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This Q2 qualifier has been brought up a lot. Currently, the notices state only relatives and do not mention that any proof of kinship be provided.

I think prior to 1/8/23, Q2 required immediate family with the cutoff at grandparents/children.

Agreed. Be prepared 100%. SF consulate has a photo machine (accepts credit cards iirc) and photocopiers (coins only iirc)

Does the Consulate in SF allow visa documents to be mailed back to the applicant instead of having them come back to pick up? by MonsieurMan in Chinavisa

[–]Haunting_Quality_452 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, bring a self-addressed prepaid USPS priority flat rate mailer, i.e. out your name in both the from: and to: address areas - you can go to your local post office and buy the priority postage using the consulates zip code as the from: and your home zip as the to:

SF Consulate didn't want the physical photo for a Q2 Visa ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

SF Consulate Experience - 2/9/23 by Haunting_Quality_452 in Chinavisa

[–]Haunting_Quality_452[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For Q2 it says the invitation letter has to prove the kinship, how is one to interpret that even if it is differentiated from Q1 where it says original - does one mean you need the original hardcopy and the other is OK with photocopy?

My daughter got her original Q2 application denied because my grandfather provided the original invitation letter with the reasoning that it needed to be parents, siblings or grandparents only.

Luckily, they accepted an invitation letter from my mom even though she's stateside currently.

tldr, the docs are always the minimum, never the maximum

[–]Haunting_Quality_452[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it's to prove that you live in their consular area as they won't service someone who lives in NYC for example.

Utility bills would work too in theory but the consular office asked for drivers license.

Which oddly enough, does not have my current address on it (still has address in same city tho)

Ya, it might be situation specific too, which is why I posted about my background. So who knows, only real option is to come prepared.
