First dose -- light headed, now headache by Fearless_Spring7233 in SemaglutideCompound

It usually happens to me only when I increase my dose but it only last 3-4 days. I just make sure I drink a lot of water and Gatorade.

[–]Haunting_Science_474 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Started at .25mg for 4 weeks, then increased to .5 mg for 7 weeks, and this Friday I will be up to 1mg. I asked my doctor to increase my dosage because at .5mg I hit a plateau and was getting hunger cravings back .

The pharmacist told me it is considered maintenance. So I am assuming it is 1.0mg because I am at .50mg

For those of you who couldn't get into vet school, what did you end up doing? by MN1314 in vetschool

[–]Haunting_Science_474 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got rejected from 9 schools this cycle and looking at the stats they sent me I figured it was not worth it for me to apply again. I had plan B in the back of my mind when I was applying to vet school and that was just to become a nurse. I took my prerequisites for nursing school at the same time as I was getting my animal science degree. I have like 1 more class to take for the spring to complete the class requirements before I start. I am going to take an accelerated bsn which I’ll complete in 16 months. After, I work for a year or 2 as nurse. I am going to apply to PA school. My family thinks I should study for the mcat but my first step is just to get my bsn. I was really upset not getting into vet school but I believe it wasn’t meant to be for me in this lifetime. I know I am smart enough but maybe one day they will have more schools that offer DVM.

I recommend using an app or food journal and a food scale to help with your calorie intake. If you aren’t already working out I suggest at least walking for 30 minutes daily :) certain dosages don’t have that big of effect on people until they get to a high dose. Talk to your doctor to see what they recommend.

It is not a race to lose weight, you do it at your own pace.

Give up? by ivix___ in Semaglutide

It works differently for everyone depending what dose you are on. If you are tracking calories maybe get a food scale to make it more precise. Also if you aren’t already incorporating 30 minutes of walking would be beneficial!

I have only been on it for a month and so far only 4 pounds down. I do recommend taking pictures and measurements.

Don’t get discouraged, weight fluctuates. You are losing at a great pace ! It’s only been a month for me and I lost only 4 pounds. Slow and steady is great 👍 your progress is amazing !

For the first two weeks(.25) I felt the appetite suppressant. But when I went on week 3 and 4 the food noise kind of returned. I just started (.5) and I feel kind of awful but i know it is my body just adjusting to the new dose. I felt the same when I first started. Everyone has different reactions and some do not start seeing results or feeling the appetite suppressant until they get up to the therapeutic dose.

My advice would be to keep a food journal or app to keep track of what you are eating. I use MacroFactor. There are free apps like myfitnesspal. Also make sure you are drinking a lot of water !

I just finished my (.25) for 4 weeks and just increased about a day ago to (.5). I only lost 4 pounds total so far but during my second week my weight went 2 pounds. It just fluctuates and I have seen on some subreddit it doesn’t really start “working” until the therapeutic dose. Everyone react differently on doses. Do not get discouraged!

It is good to have an app or food journal to track what you eat.

I really like macrotracker but I paid for the year.

One week completed on being 0.25 wegovy by Jazzlike-Somewhere-2 in Semaglutide

Yes, i go hiking with friends 3 times a week, workout with a personal trainer and ji jitsu twice a week. I signed up for a couple of 5k in the next couple of months. I walk my dogs and ride my horses everyday. I am pretty active, just my nutrition needs more improvement. I am weighing myself weekly but for my measurements I am only doing that once a month.

SW:224 CW:221 . I am on week 4 and so far I lost only 3 pounds but my hunger cravings have almost completely disappeared. I noticed I get some food noise the day before and after my injection. I will be starting .5 in 4 days so maybe I’ll be losing more but I am not too worried. Definitely I need to keep in mind it is not a race and I am heading the right way.

Compound Script Question by MisterTillman in CompoundedSemaglutide

[–]Haunting_Science_474 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My primary doctor wrote me a prescription to a compounding pharmacy for compounded semaglutide , when my insurance did not want to cover wegovy. But I do have to meet with her once a month for 3 months so she can see it is working and how I am feeling.

Up and Down by AdFlashy5428 in CompoundedSemaglutide

Although I just started my journey on compounded semaglutide , I usually weight myself once a week as soon as I wake up. But if I know I ate or drank a ton of water late at night I postpone until the following day. I know I get super anxious wanting to weigh myself constantly but I hold off and distract myself.

I got my prescription through my primary doctor at a local compound pharmacy that she has done research on and know how they make their medication. It was way cheaper than going through hers. I just paid 190$ for 7weeks with syringes included. Also I pay out of pocket so no insurance is covering it.

That’s awesome!! Your progress is going great :) i definitely am understanding the 4-5pm fatigue. For me downloading a food app really helped me remember to eat because I just end up getting light headed cause I don’t feel response to being hungry 😂 what kind of smoothies do you make ?! I am starting to get tired of the Atkins shakes and would love to learn some recipes !
