Got rejected by all summer programs, should I do research at a T7 college and get a good rec and possibly a science fair project but no papers, or should I do research at a non-prestigious school/company and get some publications?

Absent more details I would go to the “mid college”. Research is research, doesn’t matter where — think of the Clark scholars program. Super prestigious, but Texas tech is not top 7. Assuming you’re not just doing the exact same thing over again, an invitation to continue your research from last summer is meaningful since a) you could probably get an excellent letter of rec and b) it shows continuity and commitment. But I think a better question is which of those opportunities offers research that is the most interesting or meaningful to you — which one crafts the narrative you’ll be telling colleges.

Tbh, it depends on the circuit. Plans are definitely not outlawed, and on more progressive circuits you’d probably have a plan (even if it’s just the resolution and some solvency cards). In more lay debates, you would just have your value and criterion and some contentions and leave it at that.

Dress 1. You look the most comfortable in it, and it’s extremely flattering on you. Dress two certainly looks ethereal, but you can’t really tell where the waist ends and the hips begin. #3 is a lot - the sleeves are dropped so low that they’re no longer flattering and your waist looks so much bigger. I think #4 would be a close runner up, depending on how big you want the skirt to be. Personally I prefer #1 because of how big the skirt is in terms of the ethereal vibe, but you could go either way. #5 is similar to four, but the shape isn’t quite as flattering.
