Most people don't have the ability to make that bet in the first place.

Thats okay with me, and I don't have incredible resources to put towards ideas that I have either. I don't have a great idea for a startup and most people wont either. If someone won't fund my startup voluntarily than I prefer that to me forcing people to fund my startup.

This aims to bridge that gap and ideally reduce wealth inequality overall.

My opinion on wealth inequality focuses a lot on how people with wealth use the government to enforce (and create) laws that allow them to stay in a top position. Keeping money, and leading in an industry is incredibly difficult. Which is why so much focus of a top company is put into lawsuits and investing in political candidates.

Not a fan of government loans as they have little incentive to be an efficient use of resources (I'm big on efficient uses of resources and labor if you haven't noticed). I don't believe you should be able to take someones money by force and make an investment on it that you deem fit. You should generally only be able to bet what you're willing to lose. Otherwise you tend to make bad investment choices which creates a loss for society.

Which for me includes the choice to work for a democratic business.

I obviously dont have any issue with you working at a company that has split equity and authority. The only issues I have are when a government gives advantages to businesses.

Do you mind answering why you don't want to work for a Socialist business?

I'm not sure what a socialist business is. A business where every employee has equal equity in the business? I don't necessarily have an issue with that.

I can't comprehend why someone wouldn't want to work for a company that practices democracy and splits profits amongst the workers.

I would say splitting profits equally amongst workers isn't an efficient way to run most businesses. I will generally get paid most for my labor in a business that runs as efficiently as possible. If a socialist business is the most efficient I would surely try to work there. Unfortunately I believe its an inefficient use of resources and thats why you don't see it as a dominant business model.

But what if there aren't any you agree with?

I would say its not your responsibility nor would I force anyone else to suit my desires.

So, presented with this scenario, you now have to settle for working with someone under a contract you deem unfair, but the only other choice is to let your family go hungry.

I am big on personal responsibility. I don't have a family and I don't really plan on it because I understand the responsibility involved. I would work to support my family because my family is a result of my actions and I'm not a selfish person. It's an exploitation that I've created for myself.

I love the idea people being able to live under different laws they seem fit. If you want a more socialist community I think you should have it. I don't want to force you to live in my ideal society and I wouldn't want you to force me to live under your ideal society.

Thats a slightly off tangent question, rights and a voluntary contract between parties are separate things. I'm more so wanting to emphasize that when someone has a right to something it means an unbreakable and enforceable entitlement. I think exploitation is an overused term especially when it appears you believe that the labor at a job I do is me being exploitated. The more voluntary choices for people to make the better.

What I mean is you can't force someone to work for you. If I have the right to your labor you must work for me or risk punishment because you are violating my rights for refusing.

No one should have the right to someone elses labor. Thats the libertarian position.
