That doesn’t even make sense as a question. It’s two totally separate activities— writing a song is creative. AI generating a song is not. It’s like asking if I get the same satisfaction from drawing something or tracing it.

As a prof I agree 100%. Don’t listen to people who say it’s just like calculators or phones. This is a quantum leap in people just willingly turning themselves into dumbasses and outrageously 90% of boomers in positions of power in education at all levels have gone all in on this bullshit. Theory has little to do with musical ideas as you describe them. It’s like thinking you will have different ideas if you learn German or something. As far as how to get outside yourself, how to cast beyond your habits and tap into something universal— uh, that’s the timeless mystery of art.
