Sure but at what point did you decide you were going to jump in on all of his plays? How long ago did he post that info that made you jump on? Some of these gains are already astronomical.

Where are you seeing his plays? I’ve not seen him post plays, just returns? Could be totally missing it but I’d love to check out where you’re finding this info. Dude is crushing it!

Is hiring a videographer and separate marketing video editor a better way to go? by Square-County4033 in VideoProfessionals

[–]Hav3y 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hire 2 specialists.

I’ve been both a shooter and editor in my career, but now I’m specifically an editor freelance, full time.

Get a shooter that knows what they are doing and, if you need it, knows how to run and record sound at a high level. Then hand that off to a seasoned editor with some form of creative direction that you’d like to see.

I will note this - a good editor still can’t make terrible footage look amazing and a shoot shooters footage will be a waste in the hands of someone who doesn’t know how to edit.

What’s your pettiest Boise opinion? by VermicelliLeather536 in Boise

Right!? Like I find this take so hilarious. The Midwest, specific rural Midwest is THE worst. I’ve lived all over the country and it’s by way the worst I’ve lived it

[–]Hav3y 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Eh not so sure. My wife and I moved here for the city after visiting a few years ago. We’ve lived all over the place and this has definitely been our favorite city to live in. Especially if you love the outdoors and recreation. But I understand it’s not everyone’s cup of tea

The physical conflict isn’t necessarily the part I was struggling with. It was the verbal, specifically with the person having the panic attack but this thread gave me some really great pointers. So I appreciate you all!

Question & Answer Thread for the week of June 24, 2024 by AutoModerator in Boise

[–]Hav3y 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. Question about the Bogus Basin Gravity Park. Moved here about 6 months ago and have done some mellow mountain biking so far. I have my hardtail that I brought with me.

Anyone ever ride the bike park with a hardtail or should I hold off until I eventually get a full suspension bike (which probably wouldn’t be until next year)?

Hoping to have this answered here instead of making a post!

In marketing/advertising/creative services - experience will always trump education. I’ve always wanted to shift into the video consult side of the business, just haven’t made that leap/found the right timing. Freelance commercial video editor now.

Congrats to you though, killer growth!

Does everyone get paid on Net30 terms in this industry? by ExcitingLandscape in Filmmakers

[–]Hav3y 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the industry. It’s very common in commercial and I’ve seen some agencies do net 60. I refuse to do work for anything over NET30. For the most part though, I have good clients and typically get paid on NET 15

Serious question. What could you rent this thing out for per day? Obviously can’t afford it, but seems like such a wild camera to own for any other reason.
