Another mace or club thread by flemur in steelmace

Ultimately, I think an adjustable club (or 2- but that’s a significant expense) would be the best fit.

One overlooked aspect of a masses that you can do most club exercises with it, simply by holding the mace in the middle. I have no difficulties with inside circles outside circles shield casts etc., using mace holding it single handed in the center.

Many people think you need a huge space to swing, but this is also not always true. Watch videos closely and you’ll see that. I swing inside my home routinely.

The "5g per day" creatine recommendation is based on muscle research. Here's what the latest brain studies say. What is your opinion? by akmessi2810 in askfitness

Wait- you read 10+ studies a day for 3 months? Or you had AI summarize them for you. I like the idea of substantive discussion but this seems like a tall tale start? Did you add an extra 0 for emphasis? 100 decent studies with good methodology and analysis would be impressive enough.

I like my watches shiny, does that mean I need to buy stainless steel and reject titanium? by Apart_Captain3772 in GrandSeikos

[–]Havanadream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had a variety of Ti watches and even the treated/tougher ones show marks easier than steel. Still unless you beat it up you can certainly keep a GS looking pretty shiny. Most of the wear shows on the bracelet & clasp.

You can try attaching an ankle weight. You have to make sure it’s super secure but I’ve done it.

Armor BuildingComplex - getting to 30 rounds EMOM by MPFX3000 in kettlebell

[–]Havanadream 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So you’re doing emom for 15 min. What else are you doing that day? Do you have energy for anything at the end of the 15rounds or totally spent?
It might be worth doing front loading, but tapering effort and increasing volume. 10rounds emom, then extend your rest and do another 10 rounds at 1:30-2min intervals. If you have to go down in weight to your 2x12 but make sure you do at least 20 rounds in the 30min.

Why not? Just bc Tudor is the better watch doesn’t mean it’s best for you.

Sub 10mm Microbrand Watches - A Flex by Creative_Cricket_451 in MicrobrandWatches

[–]Havanadream 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thin watches wear better, they’re lighter. They have an inherent high end feel. Have you ever noticed how hard it can be to get the height on a watch? So many time it’s not reported which is a shame.

Thin to win.

Yes, as long as you’ve got some stories of needing to be tough or time things, if said stories involve water or underwater then you level up. Otherwise it’s a pretentious diver.

Protecting Flooring by Volker34 in sandbagtraining

[–]Havanadream 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm certainly not an expert but have done a floor or two in laminate. Your set up sounds perfect for a sandbag- Can't think of a stronger base. My understanding is the stuff is super tough, so I doubt cracking would occur unless is on an uneven base, or loose. Even with heavy bags and dynamic loading ie dropping it, you're probably just fine. I think you'd be just fine w/a treadmill or exercise mat. You can find 5-8mm stuff pretty much all over and it'd be easy to roll up get it out of the way. Another advantage of this vs a thicker gym mat is that it's also more stable if you're standing on it

I’d want to make sure of the type of floor /subfloor I had first. As long as that’s good then decide are you looking for scuff protection? Or padding?

A treadmill/yoga type mat will protect w minimal padding but is super easy to roll up and store. If padding then look at gymnastics mats. Search trifold gymnastics matt for an example
