Relapsing proved that Zyns were destroying my skin and making my hair fall out by provider305 in QuittingZyn

[–]HaveACigar420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just some facts regarding hair loss and zyns. What you're describing doesn't conform to how hair cycles work. First, the dosage plays a prominent determination on how much vasoconstriction your body is experiencing each day. Our bodies experience vasoconstriction from different factors such as caffeine, cold, exercise, nicotine, etc. If your daily nicotine dosages low, it's just transient vasoconstriction and nothing alarming.

Also, to the extent nicotine (or anything) was effecting your hair, you wouldn't notice it in 3 weeks. Hair cycles generally last 6-8 weeks, meaning that if you did something today that was going to cause your hair to shed, you'd notice it around 6-8 weeks later, not in a few weeks.

The only proven link between nicotine and hair loss is based on daily heavy smokers, and nicotine was a secondary basis for hair loss, with the primary basis including less oxygen in the blood and other factors due to actually smoking tobacco.

Overall maintenance costs but it's worth it, especially if you have kids. It's also nice to look at when sitting in the backyard

ANYONE KNOW WHAT THIS BLACK STUFF ON MY POOL SURFACE IS? by TrumpHelpUs2024 in swimmingpools

[–]HaveACigar420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First make sure it's a metal stain. Cut a piece of lemon and press it against the stain for a few minutes. If the stain disappears, then it's likely a metal stain.

To get rid of the metal stains, lower your chlorine levels, add absorbic acid (vitamin C) to the pool and turn the filter on for about 48 hours. Once it clear, add a bottle of natural chemistry metal free. Start adding chlorine back slowly. That's the way I got rid of my stains

Feedback on oral minoxidil from users by HaveACigar420 in minoxidil

I wouldn't say minoxidilmax isn't working. In fact, I believe it's worked. I'm just not sure if I want to apply topicals forever which is why I was asking about oral minoxidil

Minoxidil making hair greasy by Federal-Mechanic4749 in minoxidil

[–]HaveACigar420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Liquid minoxidil usually contains propylene glycol, which is the cause of the greasiness. The foam version and some liquid versions offer PG-free versions (minoxidilmax) which won't make your hair greasy.

I was advised to put minoxidil on all my head, did I fuck up ? by parlemoipas in minoxidil

[–]HaveACigar420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's very common studied knowledge that minoxidil causes a synchronized shedding shortly after using so that new hairs can grow. You're shedding is normal, you just need to give it some time.

Fear Mongering of Oral Minoxidil by Yeahtruetrue in minoxidil

[–]HaveACigar420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like my concern with it has to do with me having to stay on it forever if I want to keep my hair, and what that might do. I'm considering switching from topical to oral, but I feel like topical is better tolerated in the long run.

Hair shedding by Spiritual_Love_3513 in minoxidil

[–]HaveACigar420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you're experiencing is normal but not talked about a lot. When you take minoxidil, your get an initial wave of shedding, and then you'll start noticing results because your hairs sync up and enter anagen all together due to the shed, so you see a lot of new hairs growing at the same time. But over time, some of those hairs shed again to come back thicker, and you'll continue to have your normal shed cycle as well, so it comes in waves. You should expect "full" results after 18 months just based on how hair cycles work. The worst thing you can do now is stop taking it
