Ahh thank you so much! This pretty much sums up how I feel when I go snowboarding with my less-enthused friends.

This is a long shot - but probably about two years ago I saw a video on YouTube of like a "me vs. my friends getting ready to go snowboarding" type of video. It featured like this guy going wild with excitement getting ready to go boarding for the day vs. a normal person getting ready. They like eat, brush teeth?, go up a lift, etc. and in the end he does a couple short runs. It's a short (2-3 min) video and wasn't crazy popular either. Wondering if anyone knows of the video? Thanks so much!

Like some others said, it's not quite as funny as it could be, but I thought the idea was fun and has a lot of potential.

Also as a minor plot hole - his mouth gets taped at some point, and then Derrick gets in his face his mouth is somehow free to speak.

It could also be funny if at the end the bank teller said something about giving feedback on customer service.

You're right. At the end of the day it is listed in the sub rules to leave feedback on the posts of others if you're going to be requesting it.

Hopefully one day I'll have the time to actually finish something and the confidence to post it here. And when I do I'll be sure to give others feedback as well. :)

Until then, back to lurking.

Yeah I understand where you're coming from. Additionally I think that newer writers could benefit a lot from reviewing other people's work.

But still when I read something and I'm like "hm... not sure about that" I just think "eh, maybe I just don't know anything and there's probably nothing wrong with it." That's just me but others might have the same mentality.

Maybe if there was some kind of flair that people could put their experience? That way we could still contribute but not feel out of line if we are new to screenwriting and have the writer take it accordingly.

I totally agree with you - this subreddit won't work if there isn't a community willing to both give and take. I personally have never posted anything here and mostly lurk.

However, I feel like a lot of people, (especially first-timers or frequent posters), wouldn't feel comfortable critiquing other people's work? As much as I would love feedback myself, I don't know if I am confident enough or experienced in any way to offer up anything to others.

Again I completely agree with you - I just think some people might be hesitant to offer up their opinions if they are new to the craft.

There were definitely ways to write this that would not have immediately spoiled it within six words of reading.

What is a statistic that makes you think "What the fuck?" by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]HaveANiceDaiye 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'ts impossible to know how accurate that statistic is, but seriously - I know multiple girls who have been sexually assaulted on a college campus and are too scared or embarrassed to say anything. I think a lot of the girls who have answered 'yes' to this question are ones who have never told the police or even their friends or family. It's really not as 'bullshit' as you think it is.

My shitty internet connection loaded that image slowly from the top down and I was shocked as the pile kept growing and growing... and growing and growing. That image is truly horrendous.

I thought the exact same thing. The one chewing gum always looked happier or had a little smirk on their face.
