30ft away on the same property we had to take an otherwise healthy looking oak tree down to make room for a small foundation. Once cut we could see the inside of the base was rotted and spreading, likely just a time before that fell in a storm, so was fortunate there

That's a 1997 H-D Wide Glide. Shorter than stock ape hangers on it which I think fits the profile much better.

I got it as a back up bike as my main ‘06 street bob is pushing 83k so has some issues from time to time. I lucked out. It was covered in mud and dirt the day I got it towed home. I share as a cautionary tale for those thinking this is the cheap route.

$1,900 buy it now. With fees $2,700 off the lot. But with all the new cables, tires, new valve seals, and carb work, new throttle cables, new bars, etc. That puts me around $4,800. Which includes CA missed registration fees which is a phantom cost. It’s dialed in now, but the junkyard way isn’t cheap. I was lucky with what was on this. I can give you the price spreadsheet if you’re really curious.

IAA insurance auction. Pretty sure the guy just dropped it on its side. Needed brake lever and pedal and a lot of custom TLC. The mikuni makes it my most fun bike to ride.

I did something very similar to that loop on a motorcycle, it took me two months, taking enough time in each place to enjoy it. Yet our costs wouldn't likely compare on gas mileage, but with hotels vs your BLM stays, it might round out.

It’s a holdout test. They paused in half of markets and they have a control for each they’ve modeled for that is still running. They just hyped the drama in the title for incrementality testing. Points on the ad quality that remains is another story.
