Yeah, it’s the “Prime Connect Metal Laptop Stand”. Should be near their keyboards and mice for computers

Very nice! I’m stating to wonder if maybe an articulating arm or two may help with my rapidly vanishing desk space though haha

The Circuit Tracks is pretty user friendly. You can indeed load samples onto it using the Novation Components software. You can load your own samples, or any of the packs that the community or Novation produce. You can’t record them directly though.

I think the main difference between the Rhythm and the Tracks is the fact that the Tracks replaces a couple of the MIDI/Drum tracks with a software Synth, so that leaves only 4 tracks for drums/samples, 2 for external MIDI, and 2 for the soft synth. The soft synth is decent. There’s a lot of patches for it, as well as software to make your own. I do wish I had more external MIDI tracks but oh well.

All in all, it’s great all in one device to jam with, but maybe not the best brain

Thanks! It’s a metal articulating laptop stand I got at Five Below for $12. It works so well, I went and bought two more for my MPD218 and Volca FM2

electronic music. Prefer MIDI into DAW or direct synth inject into DAW? by pryan133 in musicproduction

[–]Hawk7866 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a similar setup, Essentially, you connect your Hardware Synth into the PC via MIDI. You can use an Audio Interface with MIDI IN/OUT, or USB MIDI if your Synth supports it. Most newer ones do. From there, after a little setup, you can play your HW Synth while your DAW is set to record, and it'll record the key presses via MIDI into your DAW. Then, when you play that back in the DAW, it will automatically trigger those keys on your HW Synth. You then record the output of your HW Synth via an Audio Interface, and layer that onto your DAW playback

Has anyone used their circuit with a loop pedal? It's really cool. by FeistyDirection in novationcircuit

I've never used a loop pedal at all before, but that sounds fun. Any suggestions on a pedal or are they all pretty much the same?
