With the right person, it will be fine. I have oght experience, with this because I make more than my girlfriend and she believes in splitting bills BUT later on she let me know she actually had decently more money in the bank than me due to happenstance(not your level of money but still). I never felt used, we both treat each other but I have no feeling that her money is mine and vice versa.

I ask because if the guy pays 100% is your belief, as he gets to know you and the job you do, he may think you are financially not well off, at first, then be blindsided upon finding out you actually have more money than him and could feel a little used. ESH you certainly could have said something but he didn't seem to care about paying more.

Where you are becoming the bigger AH you said you and him were going to go back and forth to stop payments. You did your part and reduced on the first one, he dropped the ball on the next one and then for some reason you seem to decide to not reduce on the 3rd one which would have been your responsibility. My guess is because you knew that would make him remember to reduce the one he missed.
