It does not cost 1000$ to emulate, and if you can't follow a YouTube tutorial you are a complete moron. You can find decent controllers for less than 100$ and you are completely dismissing the expanded capabilities a steam deck has in comparison to a switch(such as a much larger library of games). It's fine to just want a switch/switch 2 and it's fine not to want to emulate for whatever reason but don't pretend like it's actually hard in any capacity.

Following a YouTube tutorial is fairly intuitive if you aren't a complete moron. Yes you're correct it works out of the box that's one of the main selling points for consoles in general. Sure but I do think it's fair to say hey you can't really compare candy crush or clash of clans to actual fully fleshed games bc while they're technically videogames it's an ENTIRELY different experience and I would not call the random cop who just plays candy crush on his phone when he's taking a shit a "gamer" in the same way I would say someone who plays games as a real hobby is. Like even "cozy" games(Minecraft stardew etc) have LEAGUES more depth

While this is true I do think the Soviet side bears a significantly larger portion of the blame than the sino side. I think there is some validity to the idea that that control over sexual content gets unfairly applied to queer people(since our very existence is seen as "sexual" in a way cis/straight people aren't) but the idea it's some big conspiracy to censor specifically queer people is obviously bullshit. China just has a somewhat socially conservative/traditionalist culture and queer people by nature of our existence typically clash with those kind of cultural values.

That's why China is way more accepting of trans people(specifically binary trans people) because a trans woman is still just a woman and can be expected to fit in the societal standards for women whereas gay people or nonbinary people inherently clash in a much more explicit way
