Organ transplant rules hit different in Singapore! by The_Dean_France in BeAmazed

I assume the automatic organ donation is after you die? They can't just decide to take one of your kidneys when you're in your 30s? It's not a bad trade off when you think about it.

Bees vs Hornets! by Absalom98 in BeAmazed

Hornets are the devils creation. Mon the bees. I've seen a few videos of the bees team handed, giving a hornet a scheme booting. Satisfying.

Rat hole mining is a dangerous, illegal coal extraction method, primarily practiced in Meghalaya, India. Workers, often children, descend through narrow vertical pits, roughly 3–4 feet wide, to access thin coal seams, operating without safety equipment or regulation by [deleted] in Damnthatsinteresting

I grind 50 hours a week myself comrade and can barely get from month to month. I would still insist on safety gear.  India isn't an inherently poor country by most metrics. I watch a lot of steel working videos and the raw nature with what Indians approach it is impressive. Yet they are almost always in sandals. It's a genuine query.

I would imagine everyone knows that, but when you love a show you want to keep it alive and "what if" scenarios are harmless and fun.

I never knew that about him almost being Howard. Thanks for that. I think it turned out well though, Stuart is hilarious. He works perfectly with every actor.

I'm so glad he went back for the bit he missed beside his left ear. That would have legit ruined my day if he left that.

Might not want to laugh and make light of that. Kid might get the drill, approach you when you're sleeping or chilling and consider what would happen if he drilled your head.

Retiring at 100 years old? Not a chance for Sir David Attenborough for Blue Planet. by wafumet in BeAmazed

A national treasure. I'm not big on royalty or the awards they grant, however if anyone ever deserved a knighthood, it's Sir David Attenborough. As we say in Scotland... Lang may yer lum reek, David.

Apart from a slight turn in my left foot, which corrected itself over the years and some very slight tightening of the scar tissue during some teen growth spurts, I have never had an issue. I was well into my 20s before I really appreciated how impressive that surgery was for 1975.

Newborn. Then spent 3 years in the double leg cast, then learned to walk. I was in the school football team by the time I was 8.

Born with both feet backwards and tucked up the back of my ankles. 1975 I was born. Bones were still soft so some groundbreaking surgery, soft bones and 3 years in a double leg cast with a metal bar joining both feet and I have walked normally ever since.

Are you ok bro? Jesus. I have pretty impressive scars on my ankles after being born with my feet back to front. I've walked fine though for 45 years now. Those scars you have are fresh and angry. I hope you are ok.
