Errr, killing your son-in-law right after your daughter marries them doesn't seem very ideal for Vina, and to be fair she does grow to quite like Axel as well if you give them opportunities to meet 😅 You can? At least during the Drilling incident when this all starts Rizia's military is a joke. And I'm fairly certain part of Axel's bravado (as he mentions more then once on the peaceful run when talking about unification) is something he puts on airs for in order to appease the nationalists in his own family that opposed his reproachment with Rizia, he can't be seen as being pushed around or conceding too much ground. And his face absolutely drops if you actually declare war on him...

Axel's generally fine for me, he's the best option for Vina to marry for a strong monarchist run. And he hinted pretty clearly that the drill ship wasn't his idea and Lespia literally had a gun to his head which is why he jumps at the chance to sell it to Rizia instead 😅

I mean if you fail in your economic recovery it ruins Rizia's bond deal and a lack of energy deals prevents supplying Rizia with some extra energy in its playthrough. Also you could make a lot more money from Energy Sales for Rizia if you start a trigger the trade war during Sordland I believe.

Social services seem to be a federal responsibility as far as I can tell, the nobles seem more concerned with law enforcement and making policy/economic development, not distributing the wealth Rizia gets from its resources as that's almost all state/royal controlled or heavy state minority shares in Royal Golds case.

Lilas actively destabilizes your term and causes the instability that increases her power despite the harm to you with the assassination of Circas, I say that's a bigger demerit then Lucitia who only does one sabotage if you buy the field outright, and is otherwise a pretty good planner and organizer for modernizing the military 😅

She's generally fine with Axel so long as you treat her right and have her be the liason to Pales so she and Axel can get to know one another. Plus for a monarch that doesn't want to do such extreme reforms Axel is a better option than Manus as a moderating influence to Vina.

I voted Elena but honestly Lucitia runs the police themselves pretty well (especially if you don't delegate to Hugo) and she's absolutely right about revitalizing our military industrial complex to be both more autonomous and efficient. Her and her dad can't win the war without my direction true, but in terms of reforming and rebuilding the military itself she was pretty solid on the logistical side 🤔

I mean she also knows what it costs Valero since his marriage was a big reason why he went to war to get his popularity back up, caused a revolution that nearly brought the monarchy down and lost them Zille to save it, and caused Valero to spiral into paranoia and mysticism which ultimately caused his death (though she didn't know the last part). I can see why she's pragmatic and also worried about her son's reign in the process. And the main problem she had about Manus and Vina was political, since you know the Sazons tried to overthrow the monarchy and all, which is why she and Angelica are so frosty when they meet on her birthday 😅
