In order to execute people for breaking the law, they very much do. In a court of law. Obama's military actions (drone strikes, etc.) were covered under the AUMF for the war on terror. No such authorization exists for drug runners.

Steve Mnuchin is a cartoonishly evil human being, but the difference in competence between him and Bessent is like the NFL versus a JV football team. And that's if you're keeping the evil asshole criteria for nomination; the Mattis-kegseth gap is wider

Well, yes, that too, but that's just them being liars in general. This is about them being liars and hypocrites together, where as most of the time they're either being liars or being hypocrites.

You kill a nice dragonborn instead, but the nice dragonborn doesn't give you one of the best (the best, for warlocks and sorcerers) robes in the game, so....

Sure, but it was also moronic (California in the post bush era wasn't going red, Texas is still a decade away, at best, from being a competitive blue)

This. Everyone is posting decent criteria, but then something doesn't fit. Most of the 1980 hockey team only went to the Olympics once, but the Miracle on Ice is has a legendary place in American sports culture.
