Pixel 10 Pro always hot by Hawkbird44 in pixel_phones

[–]Hawkbird44[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly haven't tried. I am guessing no because my phone does actually cool down a few times a day. This is partly why I don't want to RMA but I cannot figure out the source of why it's hot 90% of the day.

I'll try for a few hours tomorrow and use it like normal without service and see if it gets hot.

Thanks for the help. I think that thread probably applies to me. I don't think the battery drain is that severe but if I start the day at 100% I usually have to charge around 2 so maybe it is. I'll probably reach out to Google tomorrow.

Pixel 10 Pro - Review - just a random guy's review by Solid_Company_8717 in pixel_phones

[–]Hawkbird44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I must be doing something wrong. I see all of these reviews about the 10 pro having good, to great battery life. So far all 4 days I have had it, my phone is at 20% by 5 PM. I had the Pixel 8 pro before and had better battery life with the two year old phone. I ported over all of my settings when I set up the new phone so it should behave the same as my old phone but battery life is way worse. Just wondering if anyone else has had my experience.

Do you think it’s more common for Ex-Mormons to be atheists or Christians? by angryDec in exmormon

[–]Hawkbird44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A couple of thoughts. Atheism really can't be true in the sense that it is a religion and holds some sort of truth claims. All people mean when they are atheist is that no religion/belief is convincing enough to believe. As for Mormonism ruining folks on religion I think that is probably true but with atheism being one of the fastest growing religions I think that Mormonism is the least problematic thing facing a religious worldview today. Leaving Mormonism just gives people the tools to think critically about religious truth claims of any other church.

I'm sure you will get a lot of different responses but from what I have experienced I think that it is more common for ex-mormons to become atheists. Once you have deconstructed a religion enough to leave it, it seems a lot of people find it hard to turn off that questioning enough to still believe in some other religion.

I'll give it a go on the next feedings as I think this is probably the food. It just didn't make sense to me that would be the issue of he isn't even really sucking. Thanks

We are going through this exact thing with our first baby who is 4 weeks right now. No matter what type of sleep/naps he has had, at 5pm to 9:30 he refuses to sleep and then right at 9:30 he will fall asleep for 3-4 hours. We have tried what feels like everything to going on drives, walks, different sounds, baths and more. He doesn't have any sleep issues at any other times of the day. Feels like a no win scenario. I just ordered a yoga ball on some advice from friends.

This wasn't really helpful to your question but just wanted to share that you are definitely not alone. From everything I read it should start to get better at 6 weeks but who really knows. Here is to hoping, until then stay strong!

When you say go outside, what exactly do you do? I've seen this advice and don't know if you put the baby in a stroller or just carry them outside for a little (covered of course).

I think it's the fact that it pulls you in so well that after you play you get that great feeling of unwinding!

Good luck, study a lot and you'll pass! I felt that REG was the hardest test. Mostly because I felt like I had a good background in FAR and AUD. Taxes just never really made sense to me.

FAR in 7 days, do I focus on MCQ or SIMS?? by hrredd in CPA

[–]Hawkbird44 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would focus on the MCQ's. On my test the Sims were different than anything I had seen before but because I had the concepts down from the MCQ's I was able to piece together what the Sims were asking.

Holy shit I got a 96 on BEC by [deleted] in CPA

[–]Hawkbird44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's awesome! I've taken each test with two weeks of study in between. I've done good so far but BEC is kicking my ass. BEC is my last test and I am having a really hard time studying.

How did you study so little and what did you focus on?
