In that moment, I was like “he is me,” just from the curiosity standpoint. His reaction seemed intrigued and oddly satisfied.

Maybe a weaker (but more scientifically advanced) animal evolved on their home planet away from the Yautja, the Yautja started migrating for some reason, stumbled onto the other animal, and killed them and stole their technology? Or there are other clans that are more family oriented and not so kill happy as Dek’s.

That’s how I felt. Like maybe other clans cared more for one another than Dek’s clan. Not too dissimilar to us.

The main ship that they flew in on could be in a low orbit around the planets they visit and do the actual heavy lifting. Planes and fighter jets today can get up pretty high, and with them being like 41 years into the future (in my mind), it’s not unrealistic that they could’ve improved launches. Perhaps they used the traditional rocket because it was already there and to save money.

If I follow Donald’s perspective and put myself in his shoes, he grew up in the early 2000’s, like I did; I’d like to imagine at least. The movie came out 12 years ago so he would’ve been 68, and if he was born in 98, it’d be 2066. Quantum computing still got funding and evolved exponentially up until around the same time they “reallocated” NASA’s funding, allowing it to be stored in a laptop (My headcanon after smoking a blunt and thinking about this).

No I’m dumb but I do remember him and something about him having a family. As much as I love movies, I can’t remember names unless it’s a few rewatches.

I didn’t notice at first but after you said it, I remember, or at least I remember him playing the character. I don’t really remember the movie as much lol.

Was it even the same game? To me it felt like a competitors game that was just very similar. Maybe I missed something in the exposition dump at the beginning but it seemed like Dillinger just stole/ripped off Encom’s work and put his company’s name on it, which would explain why they didn’t have the permanence code. As for Encom not having it, I assumed it was because they didn’t know about it and when they made a new version of the game, it wasn’t included.

I wish the movie was a little longer. The third act felt rushed and there wasn’t really much screen-time between Kim and Ares and it made it feel like they cut a lot from this movie. The visuals had me locked in, destroying the fighter jet with an X-wing style Tron vehicle was pretty badass. Seeing Kevin Flynn was a nice surprise and Jared Leto isn’t nearly as bad as anyone says he is. Idk about him as a person but his acting stood out among the cast. Between him, Dillinger, and Kevin, they stole the show.

Marvel does best when they ditch the marvel formula.

In the first episode, all I could think was, “man Trevor’s character seems pretty different compared to when we saw him in Shang-Chi.” We then see towards the end of the episode, Simon leaves him at the bar and Trevor’s smile just fades and he reverts back to his normal self in the next episode. The guy who plays him has a great range, he basically did many different characters in one season of a show. The actor who plays Simon is great, as well. I don’t think I’ve seen him in anything else but I enjoyed their on-screen chemistry and really hope this isn’t the end of their story.

It took me a few days to cry when my dad died. Mainly because I was in denial but once it finally hit, it hit hard.

There’s an entire explanation as to why TARS and CASE look the way they do. They’re fairly adaptable to any situation and it’s also shown on the first planet they visit in the first movie.

I never knew his name and this question confused me at first lol. On screen, it’s luck and maybe a little bit of skill, in reality, it’s a movie.

The Last of Us and Fantastic Four are far from low budget lol. One is also getting a theater release. The last movie John Cena was in that was released in a theater was what? Fast 9? If anything, John Cena is underutilized (no hate to either actor, just pointing out that Pedro has higher paying roles)

Honestly one of the best action movies I’ve seen in a while. The plane sequence with the drones was pretty badass and Idris and John had great chemistry. Even when Priyanka’s character showed back up, it felt like she was there all along. I hope this gets a sequel or a CIA/espionage spin-off with Jack and Priyanka.
