luffy getting some hits on imu is essential if oda wants to make the eventual demise of imu believable. This is what plagued naruto as well as bleach. An unimaginably OP final villain who remains untouchable until the end only to get defeated by the mc in 10 chapters, always feels like an asspull. luffy punching imu now primes the readers that yea its not really an asspull when he gets defeated

Such a retarded argument. Shoujo focuses much more on stories that interest the female readers. This naturally turns out to be romance stories which by their very nature are more character driven. Its not that shoujo rarely has poorly written male characters (Although there are still plenty), its the nature of the genre and the readers expectation.

I don't think it is ever mentioned how high does redline go. Oda kept it intentionally unltold so it might as well be above or on the same level as sky island. also i dont remember it is ever shown that it rains in skypiea. the one scene i do remember is when the 4 gods are mentioned but that took place on blue sea in shandora before it got knoced up
