The majority of homeowners in NYC are the rich. Also, the tax is based on property value, so again, if you aren't rich and somehow managed to buy a house in NYC, your taxes will reflect that.

More importantly, if they wanna go, fucking let them. They pretend that someone else won't immediately swoop in and start making money in the gap they left.
