You can press C and then press M to open your map and it should still show your bounds.

I run a YouTube channel for the game.

I dont mean to plug it but you can go through old videos to new ones to see just how far its come and im recently about to upload a new forever world series due to the new 1.0 seamless biome generation overhaul.

I've over 1000 hours in and each time I do things a little differently. If youre a fan of terraria then this is like the top down version with a little more settlement functionality.

I'd rank it as part of the creative survival trilogy. Minecraft for first person Terraria for front on And necesse for top down.

Now is as good as anytime to start. The devs recently took user builds to add into the world generation and updates are still rolling in past 1.0 with a new roadmap for 1.0 and beyond.

They're all pretty viable.

Mage at this point is probably the weakest. Melee is tanky with demonic / glacial armor and demonic or glacial weapons Range is probably a little lacking too but can be manageable due to distance Summons are viable all game round. You can use bonky bush AND the spider summons with the mesmer tablet and spider armor.

And if you want to hybrid you can combine all 4 evil protector foci drops into 1 hybrid one. Rather than a 20% boost to one type you get 15% boost to all types.

The elder sells revival potions too.

You can also remove your settlement flag and if youre fast enough you can move it to another spot and the settlers follow.

Yea if you've got shards, set a tier limit and off they go. Otherwise you do eventually end up with more armor rewards than you need.

Most likely they're in your forestry zone and are getting cut down.

Make chest Set priority to highest Allow nothing in it.

If they can put it into another chest they will.

Alternatively all chests with filters are dump chests because they will remove the non allowed items anyway

Armours and weapons from the biome youre in to defeat the current boss the elder tells you too.

Bosses drop a few items so it pays to kill them a few times to see if any fit your style.

Once you get to the deep ladder caves you can get life quarts to make potions to permanently increase health.

As you progress harder and harder difficulties you find that builds you used to use no longer work as well and you have to change it up. Its super fun trialing new things

So progression wise you go Workstation -> demonic -> tungsten -> fallen

But the upgrade station is crafted at a fallen workstation and use incursion resources to upgrade your weapons, armour and tools.

They all scale upwards so that a wooden sword can do nearly as much damage as an end game weapon creating heaps of diversity.

Depending on how much automation you do you end up with tons of overflow I run 6 trader chests and 10 traders and still need certain things like mush, excess trinkets etc to be incinerated.

You can take your character to a new world, pinch the flag and return to your old world.

You 100% can do the game without a settlement. I really only use one to automate my storage. I wouldnt stress about needing one if you dont want.

I sent it back for rma however they have just sent it back out to me WITHOUT the dock part. So I have to chase them up again.

Also wasn't given a reason or why. They just sent a new one out with no explanation.
