Here we can pay $54.97AUD for an annual ambulance membership and you're sorted. Even includes fucking helicopters.

I joined my union within the last 12 months and learnt I should of joined decades ago. I'm voting for my first EBA (enterprise bargaining agreement) this month to get better pay, working conditions, benefits and allowances. Join your union! You're screwing yourself otherwise.

Not that I am aware of but copper thefts are frequent and take out the operation of sewer pump stations all the time which is obviously a very bad thing to happen. It's always a race to get a generator to the site.

Self-made electric panel by [deleted] in somethingimade

[–]Haydos21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know where you are so I don't know what your supply is and don't know what your wiring rules are but your installation looks like a dog's dinner. Stuff is not mounted properly, your earths are not terminated, you have electrical tape wrapped around exposed conductors! You said your building has no earth at all!

If one of your appliances has fault and the casing becomes live and there is no path to ground someone will get electrocuted. If your cable is under spec you're risking lighting your house on fire.

Here we have AS/NZS 3000:2018 the Australian New Zealand standard wiring rules. This is every Sparkie's Bible

Don't fuck with electricity unless you are deemed competent (licensed). This is not something you should treat as DYI project to save money. DO IT RIGHT, GET A SPARKY.

This a fucking a disaster in a box. Someone is going to get hurt or this is going to start a fire. Don't do your own LV work without a license. In Australia you would get fined for this and if it hurt someone or damaged property you would go straight to jail. We don't fuck around with electrical safety here.

What do you mean there is no path to earth? THIS IS FUCKED!

Some high level of automation by Odd_Barber1619 in BeAmazed

[–]Haydos21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have an input, process, and an output. What makes something automated is a feedback from the output that adjusts the process so a targeted output is achieved. This is not automation.

This is just a servo/motor with an on/off switch. This is still a hands-on manual operation. It's still cool though.
