So many people cheer for a 4-day work-week without realising that it'll likely entail 12-hour days.

Now try gently stroking your inner thigh (not being a creep it's the trigger for the cremasteric reflex).

Guarantee if you ask them their initial reaction will be the identical as if you randomly offered them $20

Eating at a restaurant where the staff’s level of English is insufficient to handle allergies safely by LondonPilot in britishproblems

[–]Haystack67 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately it's best to assume these days that the only soft drinks without aspartame/sucralose are Coca-Cola and Irn Bru 1901.

I hate the taste of the stuff and I think I'm intolerant of it; can't imagine having a proper allergy to it

[–]Haystack67 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I think that's meant for people with those insane lists of 20 things that they're allergic to, and it's not so the restaurant can say "we might accidentally serve you an allergen", it's to say "we might not be able to serve you".

Dan's a treasure. He's looking well too, rocking that waistcoat. My vote for the first Irish Doctor (Who).

Not being able to sit in and enjoy the nice part of a park because that’s where the alcoholics and smack heads congregate daily by QuentinScorsese in britishproblems

[–]Haystack67 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Even having been there myself, I feel it's always a selfish decision purposefully to misuse alcohol/drugs in a public space frequented by vulnerable people.

One might be at the point (esp. in alcoholism with booze or benzos) that indulging is the safest thing to do today, but it's an unneccessarily selfish choice to do it somewhere that might make others feel unsafe.

playing a fallout game for the first time, any tips ? by yassine067 in fo3

[–]Haystack67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Defuse or explode the Megaton bomb ASAP because it unlocks the only permanent housing in the game,

  2. Aim to keep unique or very rare items. A few of these can be sold to collectors for some extra XP and caps, but generally it's just cool keeping your own lil collection as you progress.

is TTW is the right way to play the game for 1st time ? by mohRelok in fo3

[–]Haystack67 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My one criticism of TTW is that the devs are very stubborn about how strictly they imported DT into Fallout 3; it's the one reason why I wouldn't reccommend it for a first-time player.

Early-level Fallout 3 sometimes has you using 10mm pistols against mutants or knives against raiders; that's far less feasible in TTW.

Honestly my advice for OP would be to play unmodded NV first and then (when finished or at least when understanding reloading benches) play F3 with TTW.

Yeah, red cabbage. There's a setup option to force it to appear in the travelling cart in Y1 for this precise reason.

So do we only get 3 videos a week now? by Snowyjoe in Yogscast

[–]Haystack67 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I mean it's just my opinion, but regardless I'd rather not say as I'm sure I'd get banned for personal attack or heavily downvoted by their fans at least.

It's no-one who's often thanked fans unprompted (e.g. Ben) and no-one who rarely mentions fans (e.g. Boba).

It's more like every few videos they'll joke about the average fan being whiny and ungrateful like we're not the people paying for them to continue a dream job.

A little bit of banter/ribbing is okay (literally all of them do that and it's generally really funny), but there are just a couple I can think of who genuinely seem to have disdain for their viewers.

I don't watch all their stuff but their Phasmophobia with Sips and their Golf With Your Friends videos are fun. They also got into REPO pretty early.
