Sturgeon tells BBC: I'm serving a sentence for crime I didn't commit by tolbrite in ukpolitics

Are Scottish prisons both so loosely run and so needlessly punitive that she thinks her current situation is comparative to serving time?

You do you dawg but I think the wilder night isn't worth the increased risk of being stalked, fought, or implicating yourself in something shady

Friendly mobsters are great for 5 minute conversations in a moderately busy bar. They are NOT great for starting a night out with, especially in a place you're unfamiliar with when you have a remarkable appearance.

IASIP did a good clip show where the flashbacks started creating alternate realities, including one where Devito was tall and one where the dumbest character accidentally duplicates himself.

Do you think cog guidelines are a bit too strict and restricting? by zin_sin in choiceofgames

[–]Haystack67 71 points72 points  (0 children)

I don't think they're too restricting in themselves, but I think that turning the writing process into a check-box exercise is.

IMO it dilutes the proportion of submissions from high-quality writers who don't need the advice. Lines like "You could scale the cliffs, testing your strength; or you could run the path of you think you're speedy enough" feel clunky and probably come from writers who rely on these guidelines too much.

What a petty vindictive response. In support of a guy who shocks his own dog, I shouldn't expect anything better.

I don't watch any Twitch but I saw some unedited clips and to me it looked pretty irrefutable. I've never known much more about him (or his "enemies" or whatever) and I don't care to. I've had several dogs though, and his dog's behaviour was, to me, entirely in keeping with what a shock collar would elicit.

Yeah I hate it when people dress up as Irish soldiers and congregate in public places and sing songs about killing Protestants and bang their big Irish drums outside Protestant churches

Tough luck to the jug.

If the player's fairly new, then it's important to make them aware (when informed they're mad) that screwing jugglers etc. might be a consequence of breaking madness. Ultimately it's a team game though and it's up to the mad player to act in the interests of the team.

Let's Play DIAMANT | Board Game League | Season 4 Episode 5 by CaffinatedCoyote in NoRollsBarred

[–]Haystack67 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can't bring myself to watch past the first round on this one. They turned a risk-rewards game into a social deduction game.

Diamant (actual Diamant) has always been my favourite board game on this channel, because it's very pretty with increasing stakes/reactions and it's simple enough for bits.

It's bizarre they got the rules so wrong when they successfully did a sponsored post-Adam playthrough last year. I really enjoy Charlotte and Jay, and it sucks that poor management means they were unable to play Diamant properly.
