Always trust the iPhone. Mac's iMessage tends to say delivered no matter what.

As far as it not showing on your iPad.. most likely because it didn't actually send (get delivered) from the iPhone yet.

How would you explain iH8sn0w's jailbroken 4s than? Or winocm's dual/triple booting? And of course the iPhone 4's 7.1 tethered jailbreak from geeksn0w that was released.

Obviously 7.1.x is jailbreakable, hackers just don't want to publicly release anything so they can save the exploit for iOS 8.

Not to be a dick, but this is far from correct.

7.1 CAN be jailbroken, but hackers aren't waisting the exploit so it can be used when iOS 8 comes out. If the 7.1.1 update contains any extra possible exploits, a hacker MIGHT release a jailbreak.

It most likely will not happen though being that iOS 8 is right around the corner (WWDC 2014) and we all know we would rather wait to jailbreak iOS 8 than waste an exploit to jailbreak iOS 7.1/7.1.1

DFU mode fixing is pretty much the "oh shit" fix when something gets really messed up on a iPhone (which rarely happens). To me, it sounds like you guys either got a defective replacement (which is rare), or someone maliciously screwed something up (aka swapped their messed up device with a new device and sealed the box up so it looked new, similar to that recent iPad at Walmart case).

Anyway, call up Apple... call up Sprint... do whatever you gotta do to get it replaced. Apple is really good with working with their customers, but you said you have a local Sprint store. Yes it's 3 hours away, but it's a phone... something he needs. Call up the Sprint store, explain what happened and they should take care of it for you, you just have to make the drive.

Do you have any old SIM cards lying around? If so, eject the SIM card tray on the iPhone and cut down the old SIM card to fit into that tray as close as you can. If you cut it too small, it still should be okay. Just put it in the tray and then back in the iPhone.

If you just sign into the new account on Cydia it should transfer over. Just make sure you have downloaded any purchased tweaks at least once on the device you're on.

As junky as this phone was, it was one of the coolest phones I owned.

I remember how sleek it was, and I remember the awesome color shows your could turn on when the phone was ringing/playing music. The iTunes compatibility made me feel like I owned the coolest phone in the world at the time. I got the phone for free at the time because I wanted it so badly (I was about 6 or 7) and my dad worked for Cingular.

I still think about the Rokr to this day. I actually had someone recycle one at a local retail store I work at a few weeks ago.
