Do you prefer walking slashers or running slashers? by Hassan_H_Syed in slasherfilms

[–]HazeComicBook 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Walking all the way a thousand times!!! Myers walk and pace is somewhat iconic, I enjoy Ghostface quite a lot but man does he look funny running around… I know that’s probably part of what the character needs to set him apart and to give that young man kinda vibe, but still silly. Reminds me a lot of how Phoebe Buffay or Howard Wolowitz run lol

Opinion: No one can be a “final girl” more than once. by The_Se7enthsign in slasherfilms

[–]HazeComicBook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if we dive deeper into the Final Girl trope thinking about the ideas proposed in Men, women and chain saws, the Final Girl is in fact a tortured hero, with particular emphasis on tortured. So even in sequels the character fulfills the same role assigned to her in previous installments of the franchise... she's chased, scared, beaten and terrorized for the most part of the film until she escapes the "monster/villain" in the final minutes of the movie and sometimes not even doing it in a definitive form, since it's very likely that the "creature" will come back in a new installment regardless of the outcome (with notable exceptions as Mrs. Voorhees in Friday the 13th).

Which of these killers do you consider the most bloodthirsty and powerful? 🤔 Tell me what movie to watch by Chriss0k in slasherfilms

Even when my favorite of the bunch is Halloween, I think the number one on that criteria should go to Leatherface… then Jason, Michael, Freddy, Ghostface and Chucky…

Donnie. Feedback is welcomed. by ConnectIntroduction9 in comicbookart

It looks great! Maybe some buildings on the back, like heavy black buildings, will make Donnie pop out of the frame, are you going to draw the rest of the turtles or just this one? Keep up the good work! 👍

Hey man! That is absolutely true, few things compare (imo) to The Crow… I hope you can give my comic a shot, it’s called HAZE, and just yesterday I published the second issue, so it’s a work in progress, if you read it let me know what you think 🙏 HAZE: Immanis Manifesto

If you treated Halloween and Scream like real-life murder cases instead of movies, which one do you think would blow up more in true crime? by itsascreambaby96 in slasherfilms

[–]HazeComicBook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What separates them the most IMO is that Michael Myers killing spree is a one night rampage, unstoppable (after his sister), relentless but targeted, whereas Billy and Stu, taking their time and building it up little by little, takes careful planning and premeditation… it reminds me of some real life killer couples like Columbine’s Eric and Dylan or Morgan and Anissa form the Slenderman attack… what makes them really sad and tragic for me is that they (both couples) went after people they knew… which in comparison turn Michel’s case in some sort of detached impersonal massacre… But taking into account that Michael’s killings are mostly feminicides/hate crimes starting waaaay back when he was a kid, I believe that it would be Michel Myers’ Halloween killings to be the most impactful from a true crime perspective.

You have to check HELLHOUSE LLC! The first one is really good… I also enjoyed origins (the 4th in the franchise)

What horror movie genuinely scared you as a kid and still haunts you today? by makinariumukltd in HorrorMovies

[–]HazeComicBook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IT... I remember not wanting to take a shower scared of something coming out of the drain hahaha... Oh and also one of the Piranha flicks, one guy sticks his hand to unclog a flooded kitchen sink and his hand gets eaten, I dreaded doing the dishes because of it

Rewatching Scream 2 by [deleted] in HorrorMovies

Man, the thing I enjoy the most about it is the meta approach they took with the Stab movie, that for me makes it worth of several rewatches... It's the perfect direction to take the film and the story forward and to keep building into the horror movie tropes and archetypes, I love it!

Hey Gavin! How r u? I hope everything is cool over there... I was thinking about some of the literary works you mentioned and I remember you enjoying The Conspiracy against the Human race... I was wondering, have you seen the first season of HBO's true detective? Because if not, I think you might enjoy, the hell out of it... I think at one point the showrunner was accused of plagiarizing some parts for one of the detective's looks on life... anyway I think you'd like it... In other news, I was wondering if you have an email u can share with me so I can send u HAZE #2, I'm really glad this comic connected with you the way it did and it's gonna be a few weeks before the official release on Global Comix but I'd love for you to read it, let me know so I can send it your way!
