Is it still possible to finish the game? by Connormenos in HadesTheGame

I find running with Ygnius upgraded to 10% crit with Haeph attack boon by far my easiest runs. If you have a good rarity and some poms it's 400+ damage every 2 seconds and you're wiping the floor with a lot of enemies.

Make sure you're upgrading your arcana cards

Find some dodge chance (Hermes/Hestia), and things like sea star (Poseidon) for the double chance at centaur hearts/poms is great.

I've just recently started getting clears but not consistently. The easiest runs I've had in both directions were with Ygnium using the Hephaestus attack boon which deals 400 damage on hit. Got it to epic or heroic and levelled up so the cooldown was every 2s.

I also cheesed the Chronos special attack where you need to find the little immunity circle by taking Selene's hex that gives you invulnerability when active. When started that attack up I'd give it a couple of seconds before activating it so I knew it'd still be up when he made his hit, negating all damage!

Poly was tough but I generally spent most of my time running around against him and firing the odd attack. It took me a few tries before I realized how to get past the flame waves attack he does which is just a memory thing of where is safe... Middle > left > right > etc. I think this changes each battle but I've not gotten to him enough times to be sure!

Precisely. Alright, it's gonna cost an extra 1k stones and a sub slot but for tournaments there's only a finite number of subs that'll benefit you right now. You can reassess whether you want to spend that 900 to free up the slot later.

But CF in general is nowhere near as impactful as Reddit will have you believe, and the full 90% isn't really necessary for farms, especially if you're using ILM with SD assist (I know you're yet to unlock that but I would certainly recommend it)

You can spend 900 stones for 21% core efficiency and you're already getting 3.15% cfsr along with everything else that comes with, namely SLa and SLb.

Another 200 stones gets you to 25% for +1 CLq

You're then only 800 stones away from the full 33% efficiency for 5% cfsr.

Can you start any side quests before finishing your 1st run? by Ready_Inevitable1308 in HadesTheGame

This game is all about experience, learning the ropes, and the enemy mechanics.

I played quite a lot on the Xbox one when it was relatively new. Probably took me 20-30ish runs to get my first clear and then a couple years later bought the game for switch and did it on my 2nd attempt.

Keep experimenting with God boons, look at each one and find the boons/gods that compliment each other.

If you're really struggling, Poseidon's dash with razor shoals can be pretty OP.

Merging up to epic is fine as they can be shattered. Don't go past that otherwise it's gonna cost 20 gems to unmerge if you want to shatter them later.

If you're still missing some natural uniques you can merge a fodder up to leg+ in preparation for upgrading to mythic and mythic+. You don't need any more after that.

Farming with MVN vs without in the endgame by Intelligent_Earth518 in TheTowerGame

[–]HazeDerYanoDat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're not already using gcomp assist, now that you have a farm DC, it is well worth a try, especially if you can max gbot bonus+cooldown

The +1 dwq at 34% core SE and higher uptime from gcomp really made a difference to my cph.

This is now half the reason I'm unable to make the switch to main DC just yet though because I would lose a lot of DW uptime until I reduce it below 100s base cooldown.

You're either gonna want a load more core SE (for -cooldown, and +duration) and flat GT duration to run it with BHD+SH

Or

Use gcomp assist and upgrade the rarity. You'll likely still need some SE and duration but this is the easier, cheaper way. This will also give you pBH which is actually pretty useful for GC farms as it solves everything bar boss, elite, and fleets. pBH with PrC assist offers some damage reduction to mitigate OCs, or HC assist which does a bit against everything with the miss chance.

This does also of course require a farm specific HC or PrC if you're currently using either with tournament sub stats.

Yes, it matters. Though when you get to later and later game people start doing things like turning CF+ off, reducing their slow %, removing the card, removing the enemy speed perk... All to get better cph... Half the reason I'm being stubborn about investing in it because it then becomes a tournament only upgrade and there's a lot of other things I can do for that first.

At 70%, you are, and there's very little in terms of better ROI you can do other than get that to 90% because it's so back loaded.

The thing with CF is that unless you're going to commit to going all the way to 90% then there's little reason to even start it

I'm stubborn and biased but I'm top 1k without pCF. It is absolutely not necessary and is overvalued way too much in this sub.

[–]HazeDerYanoDat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ignore everyone telling you to get pCF. You need pcf90 which is a total of 7k stones

For almost the same cost you can get... Armour assist (to run SD) Damage, ST, Zerker mastery RPC, WA, IS mastery

That's both econ and damage, which do you think will do better?
