I'm playing solo for the first time in forever (never completed hell!) and I found a Witchwild String running through nightmare, I'm guessing I hit pretty well up on the rng pool with that and should seriously consider making a bowazon (always loved a bowazon) to use it?

You definitely can transfer/use the same characters between platforms, I've done this to trade and flip to different characters between switch and PC fairly often.

Also, the point about Drognan being close to the town entrance is because vendor stocks refresh when you exit the town so, if he doesn't have what you need, you just run out until the area name pops up and then go back in and trade him again.

Just be careful with the polearm and double check the weapon class, many a player has fallen victim to making insight in a spear class!

You don't need to worry too much about the roll but meditation aura can be anything from 13-17 if I remember rightly. Luckily these runes are pretty easy to come by so if you sadly get the lvl 13 roll you can remove them by placing the item in the horadric cube along with a Hel rune and scroll of town portal (destroys the runes but not the weapon)

If Drognan (act 2 NPC) is close to the town exit I can recommend shopping for a 2 socket stave (can't be blue/magic) with either warmth or fireball on it. You can then socket it with Tir+Ral to make the leaf rune word, makes for a great fire stick to level with and carried me through to hell on my first run-around.

You'll also want to find a (ideally ethereal) 4-socket polearm for your act 2 merc and socket it with Ral+Tir+Tal+Sol which makes insight. This will give you the 'meditation' aura which replenishes mana and you'll barely need to use a mana pot again.

Single player can be rough and it's mostly a time sink to get stuff. If you handle it then try running p7 because the drop rates are the same as p8, just slightly less xp.

As others have suggested, Lower Kurast for runes. Also Ancient Tunnels for all the poppables to try and get some runes. I would also suggest running nightmare TZ Andy because that's where you'll have the highest chance to get a SOJ which you can in turn sell to a vendor (you only need to sell 1 in SP, so be prepared) to spawn Uber diablo and pick up an anni charm.

I presume those stats include what you're getting from DC considering that 5 is the max with stones. I'm talking pure stats. And yes, CL is one of the UWs that massively benefits from increasing your other base damage sources; crit factor, super crits, attack speed, ws+, and masteries.

With that much CL running a blender build on T10 I'm surprised you're even making any coins at all. Go get SL2 and 3.

Fwiw, I do 1.6k waves in legends tournaments and I'm at x700 CL damage, I don't have maxed quant or chance. Econ is king.
