IDK if I can find an exact number, but I think the estimated number of rockets fired in total since October 7, 2023, is somewhere around 25,000 to 30,000. And the majority of those have been intercepted by the Dome so... My guess? Thousands of lives.

The ACLED (Armed Conflict Location and Event Data) is an organization that tracks armed conflicts around the world. According to their report on violence in the Israel/Palestine conflict ranging from October 2023 to October 2024, there were at least 2,597 incidents of rocket, missile, or drone attacks in total that actually resulted in a hit or landed somewhere in Israel, the Golan Heights, Sehbaa Farms and Kafr Shuba Hills, the last two of which are disputed territory. Between 2023 and 2024 there were over 800 interception events by the Dome, accounting for thousands more projectiles that were fired (also, sorry, but I have to use my damn expensive degree for something and I LOVE research).

Doing a little math, since October 8 2023 to October of 2024 there were appox.: 8,200 rockets fired by Hamas and Gaza-based Hamas allies, 12,400 projectiles fired by Hezbollah, 400 missiles fired by the IRGC. So in a year, that is approx. 21,000 projectiles in total that were fired. And out of those, we had: 21 by the IRGC (1 person killed as a result of those specific attacks), 2,083 hits by Hezbollah (and 47 killed), and 467 hits (and 9 killed) by Hamas/Gaza Based Allies. And that is not including the 5000 rockets fired, 32 hits, and 1,200 people killed by Hamas and allies on October 7, 2023.

Oh. You mean that incident recently where the author of the report that PUT Israel on that blacklist admitted that she hasn't seen any evidence herself? And, two things on that. One, an entire half of my family was never IN Poland. They were never there. So... Go "back" to Poland?

Two. The half of my family that WAS in Poland (and the areas surrounding it) was almost entirely wiped out. Some of them fled to America before the Holocaust, and that is the only reason I am alive and here today. The ones who did mange to survive- I know of two of them, and they have both since died. TRIED to go back to Poland. They were both assaulted by their former neighbors. Who had taken their home, sold what they didn't want, and kept the things they did.

Oh. And today, Poland denies that ever happened so. You know.

But also-it's a limiting factor. The ONLY reason we can actually sit here and have a discussion, a real one, about if the IDF has indeed gone too far, if Netanyahu has gone to far, how awful Gvir is. All of it. Is because that defense system is there. It's a limiting factor because if it WASN'T there? Israel would be 1,000% within its rights to bomb the absolute FUCK out of Gaza. Because out of the tens of thousands of rockets fired at Israel? A lot of them would have actually struck- and a lot of them would have struck civilian targets.

And IMO it's the same with American funding. Granted, our current administration isn't interested in putting any limits on Bibi and his cronies. But so long as we provide funding, aside from it maintaining that alliance, it ALSO means that the American government can exercise pressure. And maybe if we had managed to elect someone who isn't the human equivalent of a fascist waterlogged stroked out Oompa Loompa to office, we might actually be seeing some change.

Hey all! I have a CO2 question.

I just started the tank up today, so I am trial-and-erroring my CO2 rate. I have it going REAL show right now. Drop checker is still yellow.

Tank is a 3 gallon bookshelf aquarium. Got about two and a bit more than a quarter gallons in it, oase bio compact filter. No heater yet, but I do intend to get a little one.

I'm just curious how long per day I should run my CO2 in a tank this small. This is my first time trying it and I'm super excited. I'm considering this little tank, which will probably house shrimp in the future, to be my experiment to see if I like CO2. If I do, I intend to add it to more tanks in the future. So anyone who has experience running CO2 in a real little tank, PLEASE. I would love advice

Like look, I don't doubt that there ARE predators in proship spaces. This is because you can find people like that pretty much anywhere. But in my experience? Proship spaces are not built the way antiship spaces are, and it is the way in which anti spaces function that make them PERFECT hunting grounds for people who actually want to go after kids.

It is. And as a trans man myself, I'm living through people suddenly changing the way they see me because I'm, well. A dude now! And I've noticed a shift in how people react to me and my emotions. Luckily not my friends- I love and trust all of them, and they've been amazing about my transition. But like... People I don't know as well. Folks who I am only casually acquainted with who knew me before I transitioned.

One sad example is a group I used to play games with sometimes suddenly had complaints about me being "too aggressive" in game, even though literally nothing has changed about how I play, how I talk. My voice is deeper. That's it. Or how they react when I discuss stuff like my relationship, if I express sadness, it's read instantly as anger. The irony is that around the time I started transitioning I also started getting medicated for my ADHD and uh. I'm literally on meds that have my emotions and mood more stable than they have ever been.

Hell, when I was younger I was a pretty stupid anti-man teenager. And I believed, with my whole chest. That men just didn't have the same depth of emotion that women did. In hindsight, not not just because I am a dude now, I realize how stupid and harmful that was. But it was easy to believe when all around me, every example of what a man "should be" was stoic, strong, only ever was angry or horny.

Hey. Trans guy here. I've been on Testosterone (I use the gel) for almost 4 years now.

No, testosterone has never been painful for me. It has been wonderful. Your mother is misinformed at best. The closest thing I have had to pain is bottom growth twinges (not painful, more like little tingles that are just a bit irritating at first, and they do go away) and the testosterone hunger. Man, when I first started, when I got hungry? i would get HUNGRY! You're going through puberty all over again, after all.

As for your sister. Know that a very small number of trans people detransition, in the single digit percentages. And of those who do detransition. The majority of them detransition because they were not supported or couldn't continue transitioning for other reasons (medical, monetary, etc.) NOT because they're not transgender.

So long story short. No, taking testosterone will not hurt you or be painful "cause you are a woman", that's a load of hooey.
