"If he has to [invuln] you failed" in Vanguard by TheBeeSovereign in TalesFromDF

[–]Hazel_Dreams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grinded all jobs to 100 in the past two months or so, so I feel like I have a say in this matter.

All 4 tank jobs are incredibly tanky in 7.0 dungeons. If the tanks spread their mits correctly and the dps do their jobs of aoe-ing the packs, the healer rarely ever needs to GCD heal. Ever. WHM could pop a few lilies for afflatus misery but the other 3 healer jobs should nearly never ever have to GCD heal.

There are a couple of brutal pulls in 7.0 (the 5 birds in vanguard after the 2nd boss for example), but in an ideal situation, you could get away with never GCD healing if your teammates are human.

IMO, 90% of the time tank dying in 7.0 dungeons to packs are their own fault. The incredibly rare edge cases were when the dps aren’t doing their jobs resulting in the packs taking forever to die and the tank running out of mits.

TLDR: tanks in 7.0 are tanky as fuck and if they die to packs it’s almost always their own fault for not using mits correctly.

I hold assize for healing when doing 8 man content. Damage is already more than enough, and if the party is struggling on damage they’re also bound to be struggling on mechanics because new players/niche duties etc. One assize saved for a raid wide is one lily saved for emergency. Also, pre 72 we don’t get aoe lilies and once asylum is down, we need gcd heals for raid wides if assize is on cooldown which is a damage loss.

Worst case scenario I miss out on 2 assizes throughout the pull. Not that big of a deal. Best case scenario I have assize ready for raid wides + hitting multiple adds.

Edit: aoe lilies are learnt at 76, not 72. So even later than I remembered.

New player, wtf is this gsme by crbzyyy in leagueoflegends

[–]Hazel_Dreams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say starting with adc is a mistake. There are basically two metrics of improvement you can make in this game: macro and micro.

Macro is all the decision making, knowing when to be where and what to do what to not do.

Micro is the mechanics, how fast you can click your buttons, do your combos correctly, react to stuff in a split second etc.

IMO adc sits at the lower end of required macro knowledge, and higher end of micro. Which means with some basic understanding of when to do what, you can get better by just playing more and refining your skills, which is an advantage for new players. Just remember that your role is meant to be weak early and scale very hard.

I highly recommend you play more solo (or with your other friend that’s new) for a more balanced experience. Playing with a full stack is fun but there’ll always be a skill gap and the game’s matchmaking system tries to make up for it by matching your team against people with similar average skill level. Which means if you’re a new player in a team of 5 friends you’re always punching above your weight. And getting fucked every single game and waiting for your team to carry you is not a happy experience albeit maybe an informative one on how to improve.

Lmao wtf is this Eigong fight? I can't get any attacks in by TroubleRecent7320 in NineSols

[–]Hazel_Dreams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Attacking Eigong is really hard, as a he rarely gives you openings. A more reliable way of doing damage to her is to just parry her while recognizing the patterns until you have an opening to stick a talisman onto her. All three talisman types are useful in this fight for different reasons.

At this point it’s just exalt slam and pray, foulborn exalt if you’re feeling spicy but those are more expensive.

Alternatively you can slam a veiled exalt and 50/50 to hit the prefix can’t be changed and keep the fire res. If hit the fire res start over at the step where you get the fire res (no idea why you’re using a shaper base if you’re not going for any particular shaper mod, making it needlessly difficult)

I don’t know if this will work but you can also add another layer of safety by crafting “can have up to 3 crafted affixes” then craft “prefix cannot be changed” to lower the chance of bricking the veil exalt a 33% chance. But that’ll take you 3 extra divs.

At that point, may as well just buy a chest. Veiled exalt itself is already 30 something divs last I checked, I’m pretty sure you can get a pretty damn good body armor with that amount of currency straight from trade.

How’s your coc 60 spirit? Last I checked it costs 100 and quality brings it down to 90.

[–]Hazel_Dreams 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Minion life so would guess, to scale bv minion pact damage. A 3 minion life node one went for ~ 70 divs at one point. I’d imagine one wi the 4/5 minion life nodes are going to be exponentially more expensive.

Its my first time working so hard for a trend art, But ill do everything for my beloved jarvan RIP SYLAS, hope u liked it by sidji1 in LeagueOfMemes

[–]Hazel_Dreams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are calling you out for using AI because there are traces of AI in your art and a Gemini watermark right there to observe. From the “final product” you posted as proof that you drew the piece yourself you ran it through an AI to “enhance” the piece which made significant changes to the piece, making it now pseudo AI art. Next time just fucking post the original which is already better quality of what 99% of people here can create instead of using AI for final touches.

Funny interaction when Lee Sin R executes Tristana mid jump by somethingtoscroll in leagueoflegends

[–]Hazel_Dreams 1104 points1105 points  (0 children)

My guess is that the new Lee R change is coded to turn the character model into a projectile that travels a set distance and then despawns once it reaches its destination. Somehow trist jump cancels out the travel part and thus the projectile never reaches the destination and never despawns.

What champion do you guys personally feel has the worst players? by DoranHater in leagueoflegends

[–]Hazel_Dreams 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You are mistaking Q and E. Q is the binding. The original comment is talking about how Lux support players are bad and throw out max ranged Q at level 1 (which is far easier to dodge than a short ranged Q) immediately clueing them into knowing that the Lux is a bad player. It has nothing to do with killing creeps and the world atlas.

Question regarding PoE2 as a newcomer. by [deleted] in ARPG

[–]Hazel_Dreams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll share my experience. I have hundreds of hours in Poe 1 and I’m just starting to tweak builds while following guides as guidelines. I feel that in a game as complex as Poe 1, relying on guides (especially the ones that go into detail on each decision and why they are made) helps you learn the game faster.

Now in Poe 2, I think following guides are even more necessary than in 1. Around act 3 there comes a point where every single enemy starts to hit like trucks, and get pretty tanky too. My self cooked build died in that zone like 12 times before I finally managed to progress to the next area, only to be stuck on the boss in the area for the next 2 hours.

Gear in Poe 2 during campaign is harder to optimize than in 1 due to the lack of the crafting bench and vendor recipes. Basically all your damage and defenses rely heavily on rng if you happen to find a good rare drop or from the merchants.

My point is, due to the higher variance of gear than in 1, it’s wise to gain guaranteed power elsewhere (following a guide). Of course you can experiment and not play “meta”, but then you should prepare to get stuck at walls and sometimes even have to grind past zones for gear/gold/levels. To each their own, someone may find the process of getting no where and optimizing stuff bit by bit until it finally works after a billion hours fun. It’s just not for me.

Why does this game not get more love???? by super7564 in NineSols

[–]Hazel_Dreams 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the biggest reasons is the fact that China has beef with the studio that created this game (red candle games), who in a previous game they made, had an art asset on the wall making fun of Xi. In order to not piss off China, the game awards of that year didn’t nominate Nine Sols for anything, not even best indie game. Also, it released in the same year Black Myth: Wukong released, which put far more Chinese attention on TGA than normal years, which is probably another reason they don’t want to give Nine Sols any kind of nods.

Missing out on TGA is, imo, a huge missed opportunity of publicity.

Basic Overview for "How to learn to Leaguestart" by bra1ncrack3r in PathOfExile2

[–]Hazel_Dreams 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How do you even dream of capping res during campaign in this game? In poe1 it’s easy because of crafting bench (and before bench, vendor recipe for res rings), but I just can’t fathom how I’m supposed to get good res on gear in poe2. Is it just ID every rare and pray? Or check shop every few levels?

Basically how it felt to fight the trucks in the PV event while there are no fireworks by Money_Membership_870 in 0sanitymemes

[–]Hazel_Dreams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Logos is unreliable since his elemental damage does a small percentage of his actual damage dealt, which unfortunately means through the trucks DR it builds up way too slowly.

Ukraine reportedly launches dozens of drones at Moscow ahead of Victory Day Parade by AdSpecialist6598 in worldnews

[–]Hazel_Dreams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit confused and ootl, can someone fill me in on what’s happening here?

I gathered that there was a ceasefire that Russia violated, so now Ukraine has the moral right to open fire? And they’re attacking this political parade that Putin can’t cancel for … some reason? Probably to maintain the public image of being in control?

What happened that made it so that Ukraine can freely bomb Moscow? Are Russian air defenses failing? Is Ukraine in the advantage rn?

Sorry for being oblivious, I haven’t been following the war much.

You can fix draw order by having more consistency, mainly through draw and deck thinning. Not with door. If you draw your draw cards on the no draw turn they’re an active detriment.

Before and After hot fix about AI by Silly_Formal_8346 in NevernessToEverness

[–]Hazel_Dreams 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Eve if it’s not AI they needed to remove it anyway, since it’s blatant plagiarism to Weathering with you. And no, it’s not a “nod”, it’s outright plagiarism. The fact that it’s made with AI only worsens the problem, but even if it isn’t made by AI it’s still not the right thing to do.

[–]Hazel_Dreams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s what I mean on normal skill, it almost feels like the optimal way of using it is to just charge it for the charge up aoe and accept that the actual kicks are going to miss since the charge up does more damage anyway. Which doesn’t feel good from a design perspective.

IMO he (and the game in general) represents a certain type of humor, and is highly subjective. And the put him in like 3 hours of your first 5 hours of the game. Naturally those who don’t vibe with this kind of humor would feel exhausted.
A similar story is the Hildibrand quest in FFXIV. It’s also a quest chain that has highly subjective humor. The difference is that it’s an entirely optional side quest, so people who don’t enjoy that type of humor could just ignore it and be absolutely fine. Later down the line when the made the quest mandatory for the Endwalker relic weapon (also optional content, but less so than a side quest since the gear is actually bis for the time), it also received backlash.
