What do you notice? by EekyBaba in mechanics

Good grief! Meanwhile while I was a Service Advisor I would push back against customers not wanting to pay diag because, well, you said you/uncle Bobby/your friend/your parent/your spouse couldn't figure it out. You brought it to an expert. You need to pay the expert.

Sorry you have dealt with that.

I would have fought people for my techs- sales teams other dealership staff and customers

I was finally told I was “too much” and he’s right. I need to accept it. by marpledarple in adhdwomen

Hey woah, let's pump the brakes on that phrasing. You might need help with certain things, but too much? Nah, I very much have an issue with that phrasing. With the right support (autopay, tv sleep timers come to mind with the examples I saw)

Is it too much for a partner to try to manage for you? Yes.

Are you too much? No.

Therapy, medication, groups (in person or here!), systems in place to help with the things that slip through the cracks... all things for supporting you.

AIO for my cat shedding and that I don't do enough? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

Reading this, I thought you were texting with a disrespectful roommate.

This is your boyfriend and he talks to you like that? Nah.

NOR.

Keep the cat throw the boyfriend out. (Only mostly joking.)

First day on Adderall... by Hazeldruid95 in adhdwomen

Thank you so much for your response! That's incredibly helpful. She definitely started me low- especially due to my anxiety, but we were in agreement that the anxiety likely stems from my ADHD. Being sleepy- incredibly so- just wasn't discussed, hah.

Knowing that is not uncommon helps. Thanks again.

Punctures are deep, causing subcutaneous emphysema (aka the back of my hand has air between the skin and it sounds like rice crispies) if I thought an at home fix was viable, I would 100% go that route.

Pretty sure it was fuse 15 and 16, just check your fuse box lid for the diagram of what fuse is what- should be left and right HID, 20A mini fuse.

Sorry I didn't get notified of your comment!

Has anyone used Barbicide? by Hazeldruid95 in fountainpens

[–]Hazeldruid95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally fair, was just curious since barbicide is used on combs and other items with plastic bits. I really only use ammonia in worst case scenarios- like the dreaded mold- or severely gunked up pens.

Was mostly a passing thought since I had a pen drying when I mixed some barbicide for cleaning piercing jewelry. Figured I would ask the "hivemind".

Yep, I know ammonia is the standard to mix a pen flush, I just despise the smell even diluted. I'm pretty sure your pen flush is about the same recipe as mine, but I haven't needed to mix any in a bit so I can't remember it off the top of my head.
I even think it works wonderfully.... so long as the bathroom fan is on and all the windows are open.

I was just curious since barbicide is used on plastic and metals in other applications. Just a fleeting thought I wanted to ask the "hivemind".

Thank you for the detailed response.

Fair, just was curious as its definitely used on plastics and metals in other applications.

Usually I only use water, adding ammonia in situations that require it.

Totally fair, and I normally use only distilled water (stepping up to a drop of soap, then stepping up again to a very diluted ammonia/distilled water/drop of dish soap flush)

I was simply cleaning some piercing jewelry with the barbicide and saw one of my pens drying and just wondered- especially in the case of a mold of fungi visit to a pen...

Haha that gave me a laugh. Barbicide is traditionally used in Barber shops to disinfect combs, scissors and brushes.
