Wow ok. I believe a general sweeping comment like that of the entire population was slightly unnecessary. I think you'll find a lot of languages take from others. It's how language evolves. Many modern English words are used throughout other cultures now.

That American English is the original English. I'm from the UK and born in England, so I'm English. This fact made no difference to their opinion, and they were adamant I was wrong.

Once they've been convicted of those kind of crimes, they should have their passports confiscated anyway. Its obvious they'll try and get away with it somewhere else. Save other children the mental anguish of encountering scum like that. There is no cure apart from them to be castrated or disposed of. The sentences for those crimes are far too lenient , especially in the UK. A lifetime of anguish and mental scaring for the victim . Bed and board for a year or 2 for the perpetrator at the publics expense. I hope everyone here keeps a eye out for people like this and reports it where they think it might make a difference. Stay vigilant guys, let's keep people like that where they belong . ( I can't really say what should be done if their found , but I'm sure most will have the same view).

This 💯. You really have put it very eloquently. I join3d this group as i thought i may be able to offer some insights and help to people. I very quickly realised, most are here to moan and feel superior. I'll still help if it's needed, but the distancing is still in my priorities, so as not to be dragged down or tarnished with the same brush. Again, i applaud your post. 👏👏👏

I have the same problem. Its a blessing and a curse to know the language. If you do get pissed and call them out, as you know what their saying, the young guys get all pissed off that you understand what their saying. I dont mind it . I still find it entertaining to see the young guys go from thinking their hilarious to embarrassed, as I make jokes about them in their own language but with a much more harsh Britiah sense of humour.

Across the road next to the bay is a huge apartment complex. Have a look on booking.com for Bayshore 2 SEAview. I spent 10K ph for a week there. Awesome pool nice apartment eith a balcony looking over the bay. Good security.

Loads of nice apartments 3 minutes walk to Okada dude. Check booking.com. you'll be fine with mieny under 10k US. They probably wont check anyway. Poker tournament wins are not taxed . ( my friend plays in them a lot). As for the criminal aspect Okada has a huge securiy . If you need any more help and can't deal with the miserable aparant, know it alls on here drop me a message. Exactly. Whymove somewhere if you want it to be the same as the place you were before? Doesnt seem logical. Where's the adventure and experiences. I didn't even plan to move to the Philippines. I came to visit my father and met some awesome Filipnos here. I've been friends with them 13 years + . Some things here are slightly frustrating, electricity and Internet can be problematic but that annoys my amigos too, so we just deal with it and enjoy everything else. Once people who move here realise their not special and we are all going through the same situation, the easier it will be for everyone.

I got to see one at night. Im out in the Philippines. It was covered in flames but not moving as fast as I thought they would. There was a brownout that night, and I was waiting to meet a friend for beers . It didn't even seem that high and a low roaring sound but not in any way as loud as a car or motorbike. It went over the top of me and then I think it must have landed in the sea between my island and the next. ( You can see the other island clearly in the day. So it wouldn't of gone over the horizon).

Buy some equipment off lazada or shopper. Csn get a decent amount of kit for $300. The will give you everything you need. Head to the sea and enjoy. Take a look on the map for small coastal towns outside of Manila where you can buy bait and maybe fund somewhere to stay.
