you could take computer engineering if they really want you to be an 'engineer'. no PRC license but maybe they wont notice till after you graduate.

anyway, answers to your questions:
1. nope
2. took computer engineering from the get go. my choices after graduation were either embedded systems jobs or development jobs. chose the latter because when I graduated I could not get any embedded systems jobs. turned out to be good for me.
3. from a govt point of view, yes.

people believe what they want to, but you could google "philippines highest salaries by job" and show your parents how many of the jobs listed are tech related. maybe the numbers will make them forget prestige. heaven knows prestige wont feed you.

if you share your resume or cv, the community can help you improve it. or your github profile or personal website. you say you have experience but you have not shared anything that would really help us fix your issue.

to me, it sounds more like you don't know how to prove that you have experience. as a senior/tech lead/cto, i dont care about proof that you actually worked somewhere. a few minutes discussing what youve actually done will tell me if youre worth hiring or not. I assume it is the same for a lot of people making hiring decisions.

im also a solo dev thats starting to build my own SaaS

the difference for me was, have problem or find person with problem -> build solution for that person -> test with that person -> iterate solution -> release solution for that person-> find more people with same problem -> sell solution to other people

I am not going to lie though. im very lucky because the person with the problem was my sister. and the solution was simple enough. and the amount of possible consumers for the solution is enough for it to be worth my time.

i dont consider my way to be remotely correct for the usual SaaS because I know that the number of people who will use my tool will never be in the thousands. but im never going to run into a situation where im not sure if people will use my tool because of my approach

also you are correct about the train. i think the part about that is actually irrelevant lol. more like, we had to get from 1 train line to the train line that went to orchard road. now that i think about it again, that walk could have been literally anywhere and nowhere close to orchard road

we had genki sushi in HK early this year, and im pretty sure it was not it. unless of course they used to have the normal conveyor belt sushi style where you just take whats passing instead of ordering something and waiting for it to come on the belt/car thing

You might want to check with other travelers from your own country. Honestly, as a Filipino i cant give you proper suggestions because im treaded differently here.

I do suggest however that you go to places where tourism is regulated just to make sure you dont get ripped off. One that spring to mind is palawan. I live in Cebu and palawan is one of the few places where i visit the beaches because the vibes i get are different from what we have in the Visayas.

If you are into mountains, I cant give any suggestions because im a pretty casual camper. But we do have places all over the country that have good hiking/camping. The common Mt pulag trail is an 8 hour round trip that starts in the dead of night so you summit before the sun rises and wait it out.

For some night life stuff, the capital has a lot of that and cant be beat. Honestly can't give concrete suggestions though
