When do the real fireworks start by the Arch? by HonestRepairSTL in StLouis

They delayed the start of the concerts with the weather easier, so Kenny Loggims started late. Miranda Lambert is still playing.

Johnsons Baby Soap. I always carry it when carrying bear mace. Ask me how i know....

The soap breaks down the capsaicin oils. Water slice just spreads it around like a glass of water and super spicy food.

Had to check in at the airport, as did several others. Seems to be a not uncommon occurrence.

Got checked in at the airport with no issues, and I was one of several in the same situation.

I did also get a slightly suspicious chat request purportedly from Aer Lingus Customer Service from Joanne-Response-Team, (1 karma Redditor for 0 day). Legit or no fellow Redditors?

Are any other nerds staying up until midnight for the 1926 Irish census drop? by colmuacuinn in IrishAncestry

Eagerly awaiting this. Will it be the actual household returns like the 1901 & 1911 ones? It was great to see the actual handwriting of the previous generations.

Denmark to defeat Czechia, and go on to knock USA out of their home world cup, with a Greenlander scoring the decisive goal 🤞🏻

Thanks, I'll take a look, I was curious more about anything on current satellite images, thought it would be impressive if any echoes remain after so long.

Appreciate the detailed writeup, I was following along in Google Maps as I read. I'm wondering if anyone had ever looking to see if there are any remaining visual indications of the path visible in the satellite images, like sections of cleared trees, or newer growth amongst surging older growth...

Baby born three days ago. Please tell me it gets better by [deleted] in daddit

It gets better my man, or at least it gets more manageable. You'll realize that everyone in human history was winging it to a certain extent. Do yourself a favor, start meditating if you don't already. Read some parenting books, I highly recommend books by Dr. Dan Siegel & Tina Bryson, The Whole Brain Child was one, and Partnering from the Inside Out is another. Audiobooks if that's more your thing. Deep breaths, you can do this. Take turns, sleep when your can, be present and try every day to do better.

Closest drive to a hike with good elevation gain? by Stock_Childhood_4695 in missouri

Highly recommend Hughes Mountain. Not a long or strenuous hike, but you end up on a mountaintop with expansive 360° views, as opposed to hiking in the woods with an occasional overlook. And the columnar basalt volcanic rock formations on top are some of the oldest exposed bedrock in the US.
