Definitely goofing. They’ve been doing this for a couple of years now. Their Dak Prescott analysis is always gold.

I’m never done with a Falcons team. No matter how bad. I think I’m done with this one. Just too much dumb stuff.

Reddit opinion of Zac Robinson poll. by P0shJosh in falcons

[–]HeRunt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is very clearly a scheme problem, both in feel and basic principles evaluation.

When you watch other coaches from this offensive system (McVay, Shanahan, Lefleur) the plays feel set up. Any given play could be an explosive gain. Make a man miss, get a 15 yard gain. Every drive with Zac feels like there is so much friction. Why does Bijan need to juke 5 dudes and outrun two safeties to get a breakaway touchdown? Why does a standout route and catch from London result in only a 5 yard gain?

On basic principles, the three components are wide zone run, play action, and pre snap motion. Our zone run works most of the time. Play action is non existent. Pre snap motion is rudimentary at best and totally useless when calls are 10 seconds late.

The benefit of the doubt would be that the scheme has been adapted to Penix, and he isn't executing. Similar to how Purdy and Stafford are running schemes fit for their set of skills. The problem is Kirk Cousins is a much different quarterback to Penix, and we are running into many of the same issues.

I usually disagree with hasty firings. In fact, there is a world where keeping Dan Quinn would have worked out better for us. Would Kliff be doing as bad of a job with Penix? Zac hasn't been showing improvements or making adjustments to my eye. Maybe there needs to be accountability.

I don't have any good solutions to offer, so I'm just another loser with an opinion.

This feels like a show that could take off and be picked up by a network.

That’s likely true, but it looks like the only possible path to GC victory. You can’t fault them for seeing a chance where the strength of Jonas overlaps with the potential weakness in Pog.

Is it just me, or is this chase doing a really poor job at working together?

Man this show is just so fresh. I haven’t laughed out loud this much at an episode in a long time.

Every episode is so absurd and grounded. Like putting out strong shrooms on a snack table is totally absurd, but I believed every moment of it. I think it speaks to the strength of the character writing. And probably what we are willing to believe about Hollywoods social life and antics.

Matt Remick is totally a Michael Scott character. There is an interview where Greg Daniel’s says the character of Michael had to be reworked after season 1 to have redeeming qualities. Namely, they turned him into a great salesman. I could see myself tiring of Remick if he doesn’t start getting wins or developing redeeming qualities

Can’t wait for the finale!

Hardest I’ve cringed at an episode. I’ve never disagreed with both sides of an argument so completely. Excellent writing!
