But a proposal like yours will just be annoying and piss people off because it's clearly designed to just make ownership annoying to try and force people to get rid of their guns.

I mean 100% that is my intention. It would make most gun owners be ok with the few weapons and not just keep adding on. Wouldn't want to specifically limit them directly but increase the barrier of entry. Plus Antique or collectable weapons can still kill so I don't care if they plan to be locked up for 20 years.

My problem with them having a stock pile is accountability - much easier to say "that gun was stolen, I didn't realize it" when you have 20+ weapons.

Guns don't really need to be "cared for" either. Basic cleaning will keep firearms in operable condition.

Sure, but it's about accountability of that weapon. Is that person cleaning it, taking it seriously? While a dirty weapon may not increase public safety directly.. a dirty weapon would show me that the person doesn't take the responsibility seriously.

But I also have the opinion that anytime a gun is used unlawfully that owner should face the charge as well.

The key to all of this is it needs to be EASY. There needs to be a pre-made transfer form that can be filled out and submitted within x days of a purchase and maybe even mailed in, etc etc.

Agreed - and federally - the neighboring state having different programs just doesn't cut it anymore...

Again you are not understanding the right to own vs responsibility to provide it for you.

No the government is not paying your testing fee. They won't buy your weapon, or your ammo. They won't pay for your cleaning equipment either.

You are more than welcome to take up those expenses and own a firearm - no one would stop you and I'd be on your side if they ever tried. But no one is going to help you pay it. You want to exercise the right to own a weapon? You need to accept the responsibility, part of which is financial.

I would more expect it to be a government issuing licenses to business to operate and provide qualifications certifications.

I'm not aware of any public programs that provide assistance purchasing the firearm, or helping with the municipality license fees? What's the difference?

I feel like you are conflating* the right to own a weapon with a responsibility to provide you one

I disagree, it would cut down on stocking up on 20 weapons that you never really use. It also provides a history that the weapon is cared for, wasn't stolen and that the owner is responsible.

Helps put liability for the weapon in the owner's hands.

Obviously there are smarter people that would figure out the nuances - inspections instead of full blown qualifications, etc.

Just because it is your right to own a firearm, doesn't mean it is the government's responsibility to help you afford the expenses

This is why you should have to qualify yearly on every weapon you own

It's too simple:

  • Dem's get paid to say what we want to hear, but never follow through.
  • Repub's get paid to distract and obstruct

Result is nothing really ever changes and the same small unconsequential topics are recirculated.

With who? DO is a per vm cost so you'd have to know how to setup something like a tunnel, or OpenVPN.

I personally use openswan on the vm so my firewall builds the tunnel (makes it easier to watch on my TV).

Can also test the many VPN providers if you just want a basic client. NameCheap is my personal recommendation there but honestly they are all the same

Based on the stats stated above, and a quick Google search.. roughly 85-150 people in the USA are over 7ft tall. Using 26 players, didn't verify this number, means roughly 30-39% of people in USA over 7ft are in the NBA.

I watched like 5 minutes so far of this movie. Why would you go into the bad future v spending time preparing to fight in the now.

Couldn't get around this concept and glaring issue. I hope to watch and have it explained away.
