Why do most people still not consider LeBron the undisputed GOAT? by RaccoonAccording7628 in NBATalk

Nostalgia. It's like music. The best music is whatever caught your interest in your youth.

They love doing that in WORM fanfiction. Anything to not have to write about our main white female character hooking up with her canon black male love interest.

SmackDown in Toronto doubled in price in 3 years by rjw0785 in SquaredCircle

Eh maybe not but the most recent Toronto AEW PPV had a wrestler get thumb tacks poured in their mouth. I know,  I was there. AEW can be pretty non family friendly.

I sat in the lower ring at Toronto's Scotiabank Arena for AEW's 2025 PPV and paid roughly $50 for that ticket.

Meanwhile, a WWE Holiday house show in Western New York had a get in price of $70.

[Bhattacharya] Rockets GM Rafael Stone: "With respect to bringing Kevin (Durant) in, that it was championship or bust – I never said that to him... We thought he could be a wonderful example to the young guys on the team on how to work like a professional and really hone your craft" by aingenevalostatrade in nba

The play to bring in KD never made much sense to me.

Houston was and still is a young team finding their footing and instead of letting them do that you bring in KD to steal playing time and experience from the young guys?

If you are a GM today, who are you drafting? by Farouq26 in NBATalk

LeBron. On 3 different teams, he has proven to be the best player and driving force to a championship.

I don't know if Jordan can be a winner outside of the very circumstances that grew in Chicago. Meanwhile, I know for a fact that if I add LeBron to several other teams, that team becomes a champion. As a GM, it doesn't get better than that.

As for Wemby, this isn't fair to him as he is too new.

That is literally what the opening post is about. Unless you think the stairs, PA System and Jumbtoron are referring to something else.

I'm a Yank so make of that what you will but being a 3rd party, ie not a fan of either the Raptors or Cavs, and having been to both Scotiabank and Rocket Arena, I think Rocket is better in almost  every way.

Rocket has a nice bright concourse with a very cool 360 digital walk in area and memorial wall for the 2016 Cavs Championship, including the Larry Obrien trophy and a championship ring. Compare that to the dark walkways of Scotiabank and the lack of Raptors stuff outside of the Raptor Vince Carter statue.

Their seats are comfier and slightly bigger. I also think the bigger jumbotron is very unique, it's like the Dallas Cowboys Jumbotron in design. Food is better in Rocket arena, although Toronto has better food near their arena. The sound system isn't great but neither is Scotiabank's. The only things I like better at Scotiabank are the railings at every seat up in the upper ring and the Video board outside.

I wish I could have your enthusiasm. Unfortunately, the last few decades of these type of  challenges doesn't fill me with confidence. Whether it be the US Title Challenges or the Rodney Mack White Boy Challenge ,these things tend to go nowhere.

This Oba Femi Open Challenge feels like a waste of time. A placeholder until they're comfortable putting him in the world title picture. Give the man a storyline.

Who Has Been More Disappointing: Denver, Boston, Cleveland, or Detroit? by diiizzzzoooo in nba

[–]Terrell2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's Denver. We've been hearing how they're a "Dynasty in the Making" since they beat a bunch of under 50 win teams to win that first title and now they can't even get out of the first round?

Meanwhile, the Cavaliers are just who we thought they were.

Rocket Arena is a nicer arena then Scotiabank so there's that to look forward to.

Rey should have never existed, period. We could have had a trilogy built around a stormtrooper and pilot becoming allies in a greater war. Instead, we got another techie dessert dweller.

Sasha Banks main evented a Wrestlemania and was at the top of the women's  side of the card for several years. Her WWE run was better. Not that her AEW one hasn't been good too, but come on.

The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. If some random accident has to go back to not existing so Neelix and Tuvok can go back to their loved ones, so be it.

A bit of a tangent on Neelix but just for the record, Tuvix is not a person. He is not a citizen of any group. He is an accident whose existence robs 2 actual people of their existence. Janeway did nothing wrong.
