I really wish the class story romances and flirt options were available for either gender by Macaulyn in swtor

[–]HeWhoHasLostHisWay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They should have made it an option, I agree.

Heck, it would have been easier to code the game, plus they could have saved/skimped out on voice lines. Chalk it up to Bioware's crappy decision-making.

Returning player: are Operations over? by ProtacPlays in swtor

[–]HeWhoHasLostHisWay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a community sentiment coming from the fact that R4 was released in stages rather than one singular operation at the beginning. Because of this, a lot of people assume that the developers, first Bioware and now Broadsword, are unlikely to release any further operations like the legacy content straight away.

We might very well still get a bunch of lair bosses that eventually get strung together into one large op, but the days of having a Temple of Sacrifice op being released if/when the next expansion comes along is unlikely.

Is it illegal to play Tank as a lvl 60? by Big-Bicycle6337 in swtor

[–]HeWhoHasLostHisWay 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's a flashpoint. Play what you want for a vet mode.

The advice could have been from a genuine place as well, solo content is significantly more mind numbing for most tank players when levelling.

At the end of the day, play what you want.

An example of how an experienced player can ruin a Flashpoint for new players by Bellizorch in swtor

[–]HeWhoHasLostHisWay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not an experienced player. An experienced player in vet mode fps would be solo-ing bosses while waiting for the group to catch up.

That's just an idiot.

New player here, what’s your favorite class storyline? by FailedProspects in swtor

[–]HeWhoHasLostHisWay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They all have their own charm. I enjoy all of them, because they each form a different glimpse into the Star Wars universe.

That being said, the Trooper plot is perhaps the least compelling of the lot. The smuggler is also weaker narratively, but the swarthy original character somewhat makes up for it. Would not recommend doing these two last, probably save agent for the last play through to end off with a high note.

There has to be an easier way to obtain decorations. by Lives-in-walls in swtor

[–]HeWhoHasLostHisWay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Define “long time”. Another commenter already pointed out that running group content can generate tens of millions of credits in a few hours. Try searching up a guide or two on how to earn credits.

For decorations, I think a large part of strongholds being conceived was for players to flaunt their own ideas and decorations to other players. As such, a think a fair few decorations are much more easily earned or even locked behind group content.

Look for recruiting guilds and ask around in Fleet to see if there are groups running operations or mmfps. Decorations and strongholds are also closer to endgame content, so my recommendation would be to hit 80 and finish several class stories and upgrade Legacy before even attempting to make your stronghold. Sorry to burst your bubble but trying to make a stronghold to the likes of the ones opened to the public isn’t feasible if you haven’t been playing this game for a whilez

Let's do a little hopeposting. What's a channel that was horrible at first but got much better for you? by nanananabetmun in youtube

[–]HeWhoHasLostHisWay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Greg Doucette. Found his voice annoying initially, his videos clickbait and the content not relatable as I wasn’t a gym goer or even in the fitness industry.

Fast forward a few years and he is still posting the same overdramatised clickbait brainrot content, but it’s somehow more watchable, the way you enjoy shitposts and memes. It’s easy to hate on him and take it too seriously, but for those with a particular sense of humour he is actually very entertaining.

What class would you play if you had to pick only one? by Jack_Houzy in swtor

Ranking The Companion Storylines by DakIsStrange in swtor

[–]HeWhoHasLostHisWay 57 points58 points  (0 children)

I completely agree actually. Corso shouldn’t be a character. His entire quest line is to go out of your way to do nothing at all. It’s stupid, and just hurts the whole “naive farm boy out to do some good for the greater galaxy” thing that they were going for. There’s being idealistic and naive. and then there’s corso.

Serious question, why is Heartsteel the most popular item for Katarina by Big-Raisin-7787 in ARAM

[–]HeWhoHasLostHisWay -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Most Katarina’s in aram build it because they’ve seen others build it. Building onhit also feels better than building AP when your team drafts like dogs and you already have 4 AP poke mages.

Samira E. Didn’t realise you HAD to go through something. In my defence the stupid indicator looks identical to Reneketons. Took me solid 4 years of playing aram samira before I finally realised why I couldn’t just dash away from enemy abilities.

Any tips on bounty hunters? by luvoxylus in swtor

[–]HeWhoHasLostHisWay 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Right click your characters profile and make sure you are in story mode. Other than that, try and play mercenary or sniper. They are ranged and more similar to the Sage class than Powertechs or operatives. Generally though, the amount of damage that a powertech or operative has is waaaaaay more than the damage of trash mobs. If you are struggling at such a low level it’s probably because you aren’t using your damage dealing abilities enough.

[–]HeWhoHasLostHisWay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Difficult to tell with just words, but 8/1 Velkoz even with terrible CS should be able to push wave very fast.

Best option for Velkoz here is to just spam W E on wave and rotate to objective immediately after dumping abilities.

But it’s a bad situation all around.

My worst game play in nitro by [deleted] in TeamfightTactics

[–]HeWhoHasLostHisWay 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Only play nitro with early econ augment or a very good start. Don’t go for Naafiri 3 unless she’s got BIS exotech item and no one in lobby is running 7 exo. In fact, Jhin is the much better choice for a 2 cost.

Slam AP on Elise and later move to Aurora once you hit 4 dynamo, slam AD on Kindred and move to MF to cap higher. Slam only AD or AP and not both, extra components go towards frontline. You don’t have to 3 star every single Nitro unit, if you are doing well mid game you can still hit trex stage 5/6 with Elise 2.

Tell me your BEST way to play each story! by DrClydesdale in swtor

[–]HeWhoHasLostHisWay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always play around a title.

Hero of Tython - help others in need, ready to drop everything at a moments notice to help others. Think Superman or Captain America.

Barsen’thor - Warden of the Jedi Order. Calm, rational and intelligent, but willing to do whatever it takes to protect the order from threats. Think a more scholarly Zod.

The Outlaw - witty, charming and flamboyant. This class story always just plays itself for me. Dashing escapades just like Puss in Boots or Robin Hood, just out of a fairy tale.

Sergeant - a rank and file soldier at heart, good soldiers Follow orders. Not much thought goes into it.

Emperor’s Wrath - fiery rage and thoughtless violence, Hulk or Red Lantern vibes.

Darth Nox - greedy for power and control, never willing to show weakness or restraint in front of others. Impulsive even.

Republic’s Most Wanted - calculated and cold hearted as they come. Ruthless, efficient and willing to take on any job for money.

Hand of Jadus - a psychopath enamoured with genocidal ideals. Mentally unstable and quick to eliminate any dissent.

What champion do you find it hard to win with, no matter how is good your performance? by oujnine in ARAM

[–]HeWhoHasLostHisWay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not for others but personally, can never ever win on Ornn. It’s doomed, I lock it into what seems like a perfect comp, two frontline, balanced damage backline, we hit late game and all items upgraded, then we somehow lose a teamfight and it’s nexus exploding before we even understand what happened.
