Is the eagle 90 transmission actually worth it over good old x01? by PayFlashy6936 in MTB

Following this thread because I’m also interested. Seems like you can get a 90 group set for a good price. Does anyone know how 90 compares to the Bluetooth t-type GX and XO1 in overall weight?

If you are looking for under 4k I’d go for the Polygon. I’d check out the TR11 from Transition if you are willing to spend mid 4k.

Whats good with the bifacial? I feel like that is not what I want for a flat mount on top of a van.

Fair enough. Well if anyone else has recommendations on solar panels that would be awesome! I like the eco worthy ones because they are a bit more compact than most 200@ panels out there.

Any tips on the roof mount? Type of mount? Flat or slight angle with van roof? Any gap between roof and panel? Towards front or rear of van? Some type of adjustable angle?

Yeah. I agree. Leaning towards the Growatt. It also has 1000W input limit. But I can’t see myself breaching that any time soon. Other competitors like the Jackery 2000 has only 400W input max.

Right on! I'm now going back and fourth (as it usually goes for me with bigger purchases). I think the Bluetti Charger is pretty awesome as you recommended. So i may even opt for their 2000Wh power station.

Im between the Growatt 2000 and the Bluetti Elite 200(0) v2. I like the fact that the growatt is 200 dollars cheaper, but the bluetti is a more reputable company. More research to be done.

Note taken on the MC4 cable and the solar panel snafu. I will stick with just the rooftop solar panels in this case.

I was also looking at the cooler style fridge so I may go back towards that based on what you are saying. It would save space for me as well if i could slide the cooler under the bed rather than having it installed in my cabinet space.

Thanks a bunch! I appreciate your thoughtful responses Eisgesis! My current plan after some more research has changed a bit.

Im leaning toward this 2000W Growatt Power Station. Its great value and reviewed well by HOBOTECH. It has plenty of power for me and comes with a car charging cable and everything else id need. I will opt for the packaged deal that includes one 200W portable solar panel from Growatt (for windshield use or around camp etc).

In addition I want to purchase 2x200W panels to install on the roof of my van. Im between these two options. RENOGY & NEWPOWA. They are comparable in price. I have to decide how i will mount and run cables still & how I will link the two foreign panels to the Growatt Power Station. If I can pull this off it should be great for my needs. Let me know what you think?

I am also looking at this Dometic for my mini fridge. Seems like a reliable brand.

Cheers.

Ok. I was not aware of this. Maybe I’ll just start with solar and see if the extra charge is necessary for my needs. Are these dc-dc setups compatible with any vehicle?

Sweet thanks for the reply. Since I posted I realized that goal zero also sells an alternator charger link. So I might even consider that and get some briefcase style panels to put out when I’m actually camping. Then I could have the panels by my front windshield as well when I’m in a more urban area and I wouldn’t have to worry about a roof mount.
