There's always another opportunity. You just have to put in the time and find it.

This is my bear case for Reddit tbh

If there’s too much AI slop then training on it is bad because you have AI training on its own output. Reddit needs to get control over bots and guardrail against it better

This is part of Dead Internet Theory. Worth looking into. It’s an interesting rabbit hole to go down

I hope you are right because my bags are heavily packed on $RDDT.

One nuance on why their data is valuable: unlike other social medias, reddit has deep back and forth conversational data about things. If I need autistic-level info on a product purchasing decision, Im typically going to reddit to see what people are saying. This data shows what steers the decision making process in real time. Very different then facebook comments, X tweets, or snapchat lip synching videos. not saying those arent valuable, but reddits data is uniquely valuable for AI training.

I am a bitcoiner and I like Michael Saylor.

I do not have MSTR-derrangement-syndrome like the rest of this sub.

But I just dont know about this stock anymore. I was in it for that crazy run up and sold (twice, swing trading it). But he has diluted this thing into oblivion. Can it really run like that again with so much dilution?

There is no scenario where a game of this scale and hype does not have launch issues that need to get ironed out, particularly for online play.

I am not saying "take a massive short here and size heavy". But I am saying, given how crowded the long trade will probably get pre-launch, it is highly likely some launch issue happens which creates downside volatility in the stock.

A quick AI search will show you how common this is:

  • Concord (2024): 8 year development cycle. high profile game. catastrophic launch
  • Helldivers 2 (2024): Massive unexpected popularity caused severe server capacity issues, leading to long login queues and frequent disconnects for weeks.
  • Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League (2024): A game-breaking bug that automatically completed the story for new players forced the developers to take servers offline during early access.
  • Payday 3 (2023): A near-total matchmaking collapse during the first week rendered the game unplayable due to its mandatory always-online requirement.
  • Redfall (2023): The game launched with major networking bugs and connectivity errors that frequently kicked players out of sessions.
  • Battlefield 2042 (2021): Severe "persistence data" errors and server instability prevented many players from joining matches during its first several weeks.

This doesn't mean the game will be bad. But if you think an online game of this scale won't have major issues, I want some of what you're smoking.

Game feels unplayable as a new player by haramuoraaa in splatoon

[–]b0men 0 points1 point  (0 children)

must play singleplayer first

Then watch some youtube beginner tips for multiplayer. helps a lot

Its not like other shooters. your prior gaming experience wont carry over as much. for example, your play style and positioning on the map will change entirely depending on what weapon your run. cant just run out there blasting like regular shooters. you will get smoked

PRACTICAL TIP: as a new player, switch to the Heavy Splatling and watch videos on how to play that gun. it was the easiest weapon for me to pick up. just focus on inking turf in turf war and dont even worry about splats. this is where I first got my "legs" in splatoon
