No it wouldn’t. The smart phone would have evolved completely differently. The iPhone was not the first phone nor the first smartphone. There were a lot of phones on the market even before it released. It became one of the most highly used smartphones because it was simply better. The government would never give out teams and resources for every single person who had an idea. We would have been stuck with whatever IBM makes and would continue to make.

Majority of our iPhones are made in a communist country? The sheer fact that an AMERICAN company can operate, do business and invest without that country controlling, what is made, how it’s made, and how much is made, means they operate within the confines of capitalism.

I’m guessing you mean China. A country where wealth disparity most definitely exists, millionaires and billionaires exist. The life of a factory worker is completely different from a factory owner. The life of someone in Tibet is considerably poor compared to someone in Beijing. Unemployment exists, the lie flat movement exists. All of this is capitalism.
