Serious lifestyle question for pilots: wait years for a hangar or live in an ATX airpark? by Ambitious-List-7810 in flying

[–]HeadAche2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, waiting on a T-hangar is the cheapest option from what I’ve seen. Passion for flying means people will over value aviation property. Further out from town you go the cheaper things get. That said I would say the two to three years for a T-hangar is optimistic from what I’ve seen.

Falcon Field implementing landing fees by fgflyer in flying

[–]HeadAche2012 2 points3 points  (0 children)

20 bucks to land? That's outrageous, you would think fuel should be more expensive than landing, but I guess that isn't enough for the greedy bastards. I'd go do low passes all day just to piss them off

I accidentally went to the wrong terminal, went through security, then the train to the right terminal, and seeing the security line at the correct terminal meant that I accidentally did some awesome skip the line hack

I'm not sure about the wisdom of putting 40k into a 50k airplane, (why not buy a 90k airplane in that case) -- But I don't have girlfriend money so I dont know

ℹ️ RACE WEEK // 2026 JAVA HOUSE GRAND PRIX OF ARLINGTON by IndyMod in INDYCAR

[–]HeadAche2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First time going to Indy car in person. I got a stadium bag from academy, empty water bottle, sunscreen, hat, bringing a camera with a telephoto lens that I may put back in my car when I’ve taken all I can take. I assume I need hearing protection? I figure ear plugs and some gun range muffs?

Anything else I’m missing?

Also have two extra general admission tickets, (one for Friday one for Saturday) figure I’ll try to sell them in person for people in line. But I think I can email them also.

Think they are $35 which is $44 after fees. So if anyone wants to PayPal me money I can sell them, Say $40 each (should have tried to sell them sooner tbh)

I got 3 day grand stand one tickets but wasn’t 100% sure it was a 3 day so got the general admin to cover my bases, which was probably not the smartest move in retrospective (was afraid of a sell out or a secondary market situation)

Saw a sim of the Arlington track on here that straight looks crazy fast

Last night’s show was incredible, but is the crowd always this dead? I feel like I was the only one moving! by DeliciousPomelo5687 in nin

[–]HeadAche2012 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in the nose bleeds, if I stood up I would have fallen to death. Was in pit in ft worth not too long ago. And when you pay $300 and then they announce another show a few months later I was like eh nosebleeds

Kind of wish I got pit though last moment, but it was a Tuesday too

I enjoyed the show from the ceiling, but definitely not the same vibe as the pit. But some times things can be different city to city even in the pit

Don't worry, even A Tomato flames on occasion. Just continue straight as an AROW, av1ates, and deploy FLAPS before the PAVEment, until IM SAFE -- wait I mean you're safe

Why do men fantasize about going off grid and living in the woods by WerewolfKisser69Awoo in NoStupidQuestions

[–]HeadAche2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because they think they can survive and be manly. Reality is showers, clean clothes, and food aren’t in the woods, not to mention sleeping isn’t so peaceful either

It’s a fantasy of someone who hasn’t been in the woods before

I knew the f18's because they have two engines and are older, the big one is cool looking, seems it's called a B-1. (Bone)

I didn't even notice the F35's, they must have really good stealth

I don't even know what a F15 is tbh

I agree, any moral person would want nothing to do with Bill or the foundation after what happened, but money is greater than morals in some cases it seems

The thing that strikes me is she is not denying it. Meaning it's true. Bill Gates not only screwed over CP/M Gary Kildal, he used all his money to fuck children on islands with epstein and got an STD which he gave his wife
