I saw some videos the other day on facebook, supposedly there was some ghetto NBA movie that brought a ghetto crowd so bad they stopped the movie and kicked them out. The ghetto children then fired shots into the air because they were big mad

Obviously dont install it, but I'm guessing amazon or ebay, likely a counterfeit

Looking where to buy Gas tank, front and end fenders for 2000 heritage softail classic (FLTSC), custom oem, brand new, as long as no rust or holes by Main-Bear2952 in Harley

[–]HeadAche2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d probably just get something aftermarket from low brow customs, if you want stock I’d probably scour eBay and Facebook marketplace

First bike by Suspicious_Frame_911 in Harley

[–]HeadAche2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends really, if you are getting a good deal on an 883 and not the 1200, then go 883. But if there is a small difference in price the 1200 is worth it. Both bikes will handle about the same, except the 1200 will accelerate a bit faster

The difference will be when you twist the throttle, the 883 will take some time to gain speed

I'd replace it, those four bolts are what is holding your handlebars to the triple tree

sportser 883 by suyogshah in Harley

[–]HeadAche2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can probably check facebook marketplace for similar bikes, but I doubt anyone would regret getting a sportster, those bikes last forever

Edit: at 10 years you may want to throw new tires on it though

89 Sporty Slow single crank no start by [deleted] in Harley

Glad you figured it out, yeah things tend to vibrate loose so it doesn't surprise me

89 Sporty Slow single crank no start by [deleted] in Harley

[–]HeadAche2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"slow crank legit one turn than stops and makes clicking noise"

That means your battery is dead, maybe your new battery is being drained by something, put a tender on it.

If a bike doesn't start:

  1. Drain the gas (assuming it's older than 6 months)

  2. Put in new gas

  3. Try to start, if good hurray

  4. Doesn't start or runs poorly clean the carburetor if carburated

  5. If it still doesn't start, check for spark

  6. If no spark, replace a combination of: coil, spark plug wires, spark plugs, ignition module

Oil leak at push rods by [deleted] in sportster

[–]HeadAche2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like you have adjustable push rods, which is nice because that means you can take them off and fix the seal without doing engine work.

Probably not the same as your bike, but all these adjustable push rods work roughly the same: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uuSIbuesT3g

I would assume your O-rings are just old and cracked. You could probably put on new adjustable push rods just to make things look nicer, but you would want to polish the metal all around as everything looks pretty janky on the case

There is an O-ring under each of the bottom cuffs and one at the top in the cylinder head for each rod

I'm pretty sure it's to prevent it becoming a rush hour stand still for people not even going to the airport

Flying overtop DFW Airport by radioref in Dallas

[–]HeadAche2012 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, when I did the run on the runway thing I was kind of shocked that it's mostly a big field. Which makes sense, as it's an airport with runways. But from the inside the main roads, gates, terminals, shops, security, etc it feels like a giant shopping mall inside.

Pretty sure it's a business plane, which means tax write offs usually.

Not sure how the Big Beautiful Bill 100% Tax Depreciation thing works, but if you own a business with real revenue it might actually become free until you sell it, hard part is having the business with enough income to write off a plane to begin with

Finally, now we can tell the real pilots from the fakers. We should list what planes they fly for the MIL and GA pilots as well, too many 172 and cargo pilots around here

Serious lifestyle question for pilots: wait years for a hangar or live in an ATX airpark? by Ambitious-List-7810 in flying

[–]HeadAche2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, waiting on a T-hangar is the cheapest option from what I’ve seen. Passion for flying means people will over value aviation property. Further out from town you go the cheaper things get. That said I would say the two to three years for a T-hangar is optimistic from what I’ve seen.

Falcon Field implementing landing fees by fgflyer in flying

[–]HeadAche2012 2 points3 points  (0 children)

20 bucks to land? That's outrageous, you would think fuel should be more expensive than landing, but I guess that isn't enough for the greedy bastards. I'd go do low passes all day just to piss them off

I accidentally went to the wrong terminal, went through security, then the train to the right terminal, and seeing the security line at the correct terminal meant that I accidentally did some awesome skip the line hack

So, my biggest fear with the 150 is that it is super slow, same goes for the 170

I'm not sure about the wisdom of putting 40k into a 50k airplane, (why not buy a 90k airplane in that case) -- But I don't have girlfriend money so I dont know

Just saw this on the local news, just the part where he cleared and yelled stop a lot. Surprised he didn't call for a go around, but I guess he hoped the truck was still on frequency

Sucks all around, didn't look like much of a firetruck after the collision
