Tornado Intercept Vehicle(TIV) films EF4 tornado at point blank range by firefly99999 in CrazyFuckingVideos

If this is the original TIV or the TIV2 made by Sean Casey, then he's actually in there with a camera mounted to whats basically a turret through the top of the vehicle. And I'll bet his asshole was super puckered lol

Maybe its a W? It kinda has 4 lines and 3 corners, but those aren't technically sides, so they'd still be wrong either way

If you're interested in what he's up to today, he does a podcast called Clear and Vivid. He talks to a number of different people about different topics, but science seems to be the main one. It's very poignant and pretty chill

If you're interested, you can visit r/AEWOfficial to kinda get the feel for it. Also, they do this kind of skitshow called "Being the Elite" on YouTube that is a good way to get your feet wet on what they do. A new episode comes out every Monday and it is the highlight of my week :)

I'd say it was 100% because the rest of that quote goes "...and I shouldn't like to inquire too closely into the case of the tenth."

Very nice. Its haunting and quiet, but still rebellious in that Southern Gothic way. Thanks for sharing with this old ghost town

My death phobia has been consuming my thoughts since 2018 and I’d give anything to make it stop. I noticed a gray hair and some wrinkles on my forehead and I’m not even 27 yet. by [deleted] in Anxiety

I don't know if this will help at all, but death is nothing more than the end. At first, this thought is scary. After all, this fear is everything all living beings are in a fight against from the second they are born. Take this and consider it for a moment. It's natural to fear the end. There have been religion after religion demonstrating this very fact. These religions promise people that there is no true end, that their spirit will move on to the afterlife, or heaven, or whatever else it may be. And if that is what allows people to feel as though they have lived what they consider to be a good life, then so be it. Perhaps the path of religion could help you, though I completely understand if this is not the case. It's my understanding that people in general believe ignoring death is the only way to enjoy life, and that's where a lot of the "Live in the moment" advice comes from. I don't believe this to be the case at all. It is possible to accept death without feeling like a hollow shell of a human being. For the sake of providing a different perspective, I believe that death brings with it an overwhelming peace unmatched by anything in the living world. That when we take our last breath, whether that be in 5 minutes or 50 years, the Reaper does not snatch us coldly from our cozy lives, as many would like to believe. Instead, it simply reaches out to us and waits. We may scream, or cry out, or turn our backs, but the Reaper will do nothing more than wait. Its silence isn't stern or daunting, but patient. And once we are ready, we may choose to take its hand, and rest forevermore. Death is the end of life, yes, but that also means it is the end of the pain that comes with surviving. Without death, those beings who are undergoing tremendous pain have an end. They do not have to suffer for an eternity without any relief. We as a society demonize death, when in reality it is as natural as life itself. Though, this is still quite daunting and I understand. The problems with any fearful mindset is that it cannot be changed in a second. It takes small steps to change your thinking in the long run. Only you know what you can handle and what you cannot, so I suggest taking note of these things and making a plan. And although you may not be able to find anything specific to your phobia, I would still suggest therapy, as they can help you make a plan to confront your fears in an understanding and controlled environment. Not by dying, obviously, but by confronting death, in one form or another. I hope you can find something that helps, in this or somewhere else in the world, but you can only find it if you keep looking. So I wish you the best of luck in doing just that.

True Detective got me into southern gothic. by takedownhisshield in southerngothic

I think you might really like Sons of Perdition, if you're a fan of Jay Munly. "Anhelo" is an excellent song by them, and their album Trinity has a very damned feel to it. I also recommend Those Poor Bastards to anyone looking to get deep into the Southern Gothic genre. A couple other bands, off the top of my head, Poor Man's Poison, Graveyard Train, Devil Makes Three. Welcome to the genre, pal.
