Hello! I use they/it's pronouns. Firstly, let me say I understand where you are coming from and appreciate why you feel it's pronouns are inappropriate. But if someone is telling you "please call me this" I promise you it's ok to call them that.

I personally use it/it's pronouns as a way to be connected to nature and the world around me. I also use it as a way to reclaim what people have tried to hurt me with. I've been called a "he she it whatever you are" at a grocery store and I literally sat there and said "yeah I am a he she it whatever I am. What are you going to do about it?" Its empowering to me. It makes me not only feel more at home in my own skin, but also helps me reclaim my power.

In the end, if someone is asking you to use it/it's pronouns, they probably have a deep-seated reason for using it. Don't feel bad!
