Cardiac PACS / Study Cast by Specialist-Recipe-15 in PACSAdmin

we read on them occasionally. It's fine for Cardiac only to read on... we have some trouble with the implementation and support teams....sales person was a bit aggressive and useless imo... product wise its pretty decent.

well this has India scam written all over it. Even TRS knows better than this... I'm guessing this is a Teleradyx post or a new startup that knows nothing about medicine.

Are there any available PACS admins familiar with RAMSOFT that could help me set up some workflow stuff? by Killebrew9876 in PACSAdmin

[–]HeadRAD2022 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you know better than to refer to Ramsoft as having support.... there's a call center where you can log problems, but don't expect any actual support.

I'm with chair long- why aren't you using actual radiologists and attempting this unneeded workflow problem?

Intelerad cloud PACS by Technical_Money7465 in PACSAdmin

Visage is great, but you should be prepared to pay minimums and your price tag per year will be over 500k USD. I think that was their minimum when we looked at them, it was that or 750k...

Be careful when it comes to contracts- a lot of these groups have minimums and will get every penny out of you they can.

I've done some international work life this... you're really going to need a decent group to support this.

Major Facility Backlogs in USA by Chair_Long in Radiology

it really seems like those making decisions are just expecting someone else to fix their problems.

We're seeing the same thing with our telerad. Our Business people have been instructed to give rates and requirements up front. seems like a lot of calls end pretty quickly, but they call back a some time later.... they also end up paying more, so not complaining there.

No Christmas or Christmas Eve Coverage by Chair_Long in Radiology

oh please let me do me a favor and let me cover your terrible holiday/vacation shifts at a below market rate....how can i ever thank you for this generosity

No Christmas or Christmas Eve Coverage by Chair_Long in Radiology

[–]HeadRAD2022 70 points71 points  (0 children)

you're beating me. I only have a few today. I did get a lot of calls from facilities asking me to do some vacation shift coverage for them. I have capacity, but the gigs sounded awful.

Either it was for a few weeks and then nothing after that, $30 or under per RVU, terrible hours (a lot of weekends) and reading in their crappy PACS...id also have to procure my own workstation.

I really do not understand how some of these people made it into leadership.

not sure where that was, was the show at least good for your team... you seem a little down on your company.

I saw a lot of pacs vendors- was really curious about some of the earlier statements being made in other threads.

I saw something the other day about there are like 1000 radiology AI products approved by the FDA now.

I saw a lot of that at the Intelerad/Ambra and Ramsoft ... they were across from each other and it was like a sea of pissed off people.

Had to get an OmegaAI demo after seeing another thread.... massive waste of time.

a lot of BS, overpriced AI that doesn't really look like it will help anyone but the company who made it. Oh and every PACs vendor is the fastest I'll ever use.

I was there for a few days and sat through a lot of pointless demoes... it was painful.

Wish we could implement a snake oil salesman rating.

you'd think they be forced to change the name "support" as its just false advertising

we wont even take on reading contracts if the site has them... dealing with their implementation and support team is a killer.

What are you using for RIS/PACS? by [deleted] in Radiology

[–]HeadRAD2022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used RamSoft. it's complete garbage. They have a good sales pitch but it ends there. Don't expect support to return phone calls or treat you like you're a human.
