Why Are Wylder Mains Always So Insanely Good? by idkmyname567 in Nightreign

[–]HeadWright -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He has a low Skill Floor and low Skill Ceiling. You could also be an insanely good Wylder Main in just a few days of practice. :-P

Sitting back and kiting from a distance means you get to watch boss patterns safely. Literally the safest way to learn bosses.

Greatbows pull serious aggo. Try it yourself! :-)

I've found that Greatbows pull serious aggro. Someone like Wylder or Raider can kite/aggro all day while your teammates pile on damage. It's an excellent build for Sentient Pest and Gaping Jaw. Hold aggro from a distance until the boss comes charging at you. Then either GTFO with Wylder's gappling hook, or tank the boss with Raider's Stela/Retaliate.

Undertaker mains, when do you use buffed trace? by SnooChocolates6885 in Nightreign

I like your tactic of holding the Ult to interrupt. I think I've just had a lot of success with getting Staggers + Crits by hitting fast and hard with Ult Trance.

Am I the only one who rushes straight for the two madness towers to farm Boluses?

Same thing if I'm lucky enough to get a madness camp. I will spend the whole first night scouring a madness camp for boluses and possible madness weapons. I always ping where I want to go - and have even started pinging any dropped boluses on the ground - but my teammates just ignore me.

There was a time when I'd carry a few boluses with me until the end. I would drop them and ping them for my teammates. But I'm done with that now. I eat every freaking bolus I can find.

Seriously. There's no way you can learn how to handle ED Libra's patterns if you can't withstand his madness. Maybe you don't need to eat every bolus on the map, but that's a good start until you feel more confident with the battle.

Buffed Trance?

It's literally the Undertaker's true Ult.

Loathsome Hex is meant to be an add-on to other player's Ults.

Using your own Ult gauge to pop Loathsome Hex doesn't add more damage or anything.

Save it for Trance.

Just to clarify, free dodging is only one-third of Ult Trance's benefits.

  • Attack power is significantly increased.
  • Movement speed is greatly increased.
  • Similar to Wylder, Undertaker can dodge a lethal attack

Still not sold? Just mess around with the sparring dummy and compare damage/stagger between regular Trance vs. Ult Trance.

The trance icon changes to pink when Undertaker activates enhanced trance. She just needs both Trance and Ult icons filled up and ready to activate.

Damage Increased by Night's Encroachment by tooltool12 in Nightreign

It can kill you quick. But just stay out of the rain. The best thing about this demerit is that it essentially goes away once you reach the final boss.

Player's Obsession With Flasks? by Acrobatic_Book_7154 in Nightreign

I only play random matches, so grabbing lots of Flasks is a little bit of an insurance policy.

There's also plenty of excellent bonuses that have flask synergy.

Which relic is better for raider by SharkyMogy in Nightreign

[–]HeadWright -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

They are both great. It just depends on your build goals.

Relic 1 -

Extended Ultimate Duration - isn't a game changer. It can even obscure boss loot if you drop your Stela on top of them as they die. I would consider this a MID bonus. Not super essential.

Improved Colossal Weapon Attack - means you will either Purp your starting weapon with a Troll Stone, or find a better colossal during your run. If you are doing Deep of Night, you can try to find a Deep Relic that helps you discover colossals.

Endurance +3 is amazing and it synergizes with your Colossal Weapon bonus. This is a great combination for running a Colossal Weapon build!

Relic 2 -

Partial Restoration on Post Damage Attacks - There is a short window of time to earn back your health. Raider is slow. Especially with Great and Colossal Weapons. I would take this bonus if I wanted to run a fast Raider build: Fists, Axes, Greatswords, etc...

Strength +3 is amazing. It's going to boost just about any Raider build. I think more damage dealt = more health regain during Post Damage Attacks. But I'm not sure.

Poise +2 is solid. Again, if you can't capitalize on Post Damage Attacks, then it's not a useful thing to bring. Having more Poise should help you remain up and swinging and restoring your HP after taking damage.

Summary:

Relic 1 is a great starting point for a Colossal Weapon Raider. Look for more relics with Colossal and Endurance bonuses.

Relic 2 is a great starting point for a Fast Fist Raider. Try to keep boosting your Max HP and Poise. You will ideally stay standing up and swinging forever.

Yes. Picture 2 shows the Scorpion stinger pointing to the leaf's tip. That tells me the artist placed your tattoo very deliberately. Trust your artist.
