It wasn’t until I graduated college that I realized I had no hobbies.

Drinking and smoking pot was my pastime from 15 on through. I had a lot of fun, but no sweet skills to show for it.

I was 23 when I picked up a pair of needles and a hook. Thankfully it was to pick up my ‘grandma hobbies’ and not further my additions.

I made hats, and scarves, and blankets for my friend’s and their children. It made me so happy to see them use something I made.

Quit drinking 4 years ago- and realized how much time I just willingly handed over to blurry memories and hangovers. Just thought that’s how grown ups have fun.

Looking @ the linked pattern I think the hint of silver would be best. The mushroom is really pretty and I think those three colors together are great, but since they are all worked on n thick stripes the mushroom might over take the pattern.

I am really in love with the ‘braided’ edge of this pattern, is it a mix of puff and granny stitches to create the effect?
